I think i must be even more of a Luddite than Michael - I don't even use text speak! Just about everything I text is written in full with proper punctuation and everything. I don't own an i-pod either - I don have an MP3 player but it's a big beast of a machine.

;D I was about to say that I thought that I was more of a luddite than Michael: I'm still watching 'Lost' on an analog T.V, (like how Michael said that he'd probably be the last person to own an IPhone, I've thought that I'm probably one of the last people of my generation who doesn't own a cellphone, that I'll probably be the last person, in the U.S or a developed country, to have one. I barely know how to make a call on one and I have no idea how to text. I'm still living in the 90's. ;D

I think I'm relatively tech-savvy, but I'm not all that fascinated with tech. Its value beyond entertainment is oversold. Outside of helping me to do some creative and finances, tech devices can be incredible time-eaters (facebook, anyone?). Some apps for my iPod Touch have been a godsend in getting me through these economic troublesome times. But the rest, as I say, maybe fun, but also time-eaters. (You can only download so many Hello, Kitty! backgrounds.) I have so much I want to do and a lot of that isn't tech oriented.
Cell phones are OK but the sound quality still sucks. My Blackberry does a great job, but if I get up and walk to another room, the sound gets wobbly. And I have Verizon service and live in a major city, so it should be OK, but that's cell phone service. To tell the truth, the number of times I've actually needed it — because I was stranded, had car trouble, was sick — I can count on one hand and have several fingers left. Oh, and BTW, the one thing that will breakdown in a crisis/disaster situation is the cell-phone service (a fact my nephew, a severe storms meteorologist, likes to point out), so that negates that argument.
So yeah, I suppose I am turning Luddite. I think if you see technology for what it is, and for those cases when it's used right, it's great, but it has its limits.

I read an interview where Michael was asked if he worried about being seen in high def and he said no. I thought that was funny since in another interview he admitted to just owning an old TV. He did realize what high def revealed. Now I have to laugh at this. When he sees himself he will be surprised.

Is this Luddites-R-Us? LoL. But I'm quite sure Michael is wrong on one thing. He'll buy the second-last iPhone, because I'm quite sure I'm going to be the one who buys the very last one.

And you're prolly a lot smarter about computers, greenleaf, because you've had to be so industrious. This helps explain why you're so good at graphics.
