Cool! I didn't think that I was good at learning languages, either, because I'd found Spanish 2 a little difficult; I didn't know how to write proper, perfect sentences, (the different rules of how to write a sentence, compared to English, confused me) so, I'd thought that Latin or Greek would be impossible to learn. I've seen Latin and Greek listed as languages that people could major in if they'd wanted to and I was curious about why people would and what type of job they'd be able to have. What does a Celtic medievalist do: translate books and teach history?

Well, finally catching up with a (relatively) new member from my favorite country, WALES! Croeso! (I hope that's right. I believe it means welcome. Some years back I spent two weeks in Pembrokeshire Coast, camped out in a park north of Manorbier and worked at an archaeology dig at Carew Castle. It was the most awesome two weeks of my life. I still think of it often.
Wales is a wonderful country. I love that it's bilingual. Although I was a bit fooled when I first got there. I heard some kids talking and I was so excited because I thought they were speaking Welsh. I couldn't understand them, so had to be Welsh, right? Turns out they were speaking English, only their "Welsh" accent, if that the right word, was so strong and my ear too American, I couldn't understand them. LOL!
Anyway, enough of that. So glad to have you here. Because you are a fan of Michael Emerson, it puts you in a better class of fan. Ha! Have fun.
