I think Edith already has pictures of it up on her site, but Youtube now has a video from the Ready, OK with Michael doing outtakes and telling some stories. From www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0R_Dp5a3nA

First of all, I love that he doesn't mind doing dishes. Sort of fits with him per the CNI podcast where he's folding laundry.
Secondly, he totally pwned that lady in the restaurant. Hysterical. I wish I could have heard the rest of it.

;D The blooper reel! And how the lady mistook him for someone else and then thought he was "the actor from 'Lost!'" Lol! The film looks better than I'd thought; The trailer seemed to me like it was a simple film for kids, so I didn't expect it to have any clever jokes or adult themes, like Michael's first scene, with John Preston's character, (I really liked Alex; He was funny.) afraid that Charlie New will get the wrong idea and think he's gay. "Yeah, I'm not any of those things...gay." The "sit down, sit down, sit down.." was cute. I was confused, though, about why Alex listening to a woman singing and Andy seeing Joshua liking the boy doll, might make them appear to be gay. I don't know the stereotypical rules, I guess. Aww, the birthday scene! I felt so sad for Charlie! I felt like I wanted to see more of him. Aww, the scene between Charlie and Andy! I've been wondering: Who's house did they use for the film? At first, I thought that maybe it was Michael and Carrie's old house in L.A, but the blooper reel revealed that it wasn't. Was it someone from the crews' or the directors'? Here's another short clip between Andy and Joshua, from the Barcelona film festival: www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQNtXMCQupY

my copy finally arrived and I got to watch it late last night (Saturday), and it was indeed sweet. Not having kids, I don't know whether kids today have the troubles with acceptance for being different. They certainly did in my day.
I was surprised at how unlikable Carrie's character is at first, and I found her back story interesting, and I had a dozen questions about her parents, especially the deceased father. The mother was a stitch and Josh was just a really nice kid.
The one thing I stumbled over was Josh's observation about the cheer squad. I think Josh's take was a tad idealized. Schoolgirl groups can be just a nasty if not nastier than boys. But the dynamics are different for a gay boy. Just wondering out loud here.
And for the part we all are interested in Michael's role was nice, bittersweet. He indeed played as a man who has come to terms with life and his part in it, and found a peace or serenity in it.
