And now for some news that should surprise no one: ABC is expected to announce tomorrow that it has picked up a reboot of the camptastic '80s thriller V and that Lost heroine Elizabeth Mitchell is a full-time castmember.

Translation: She will not be returning to Lost as a series regular.

However, before you go declaring Juliet DOA from last week's detonated hydrogen bomb, I should point out that this piece of scoop comes with a big but attached: Mitchell's Lost days are not done. Multiple sources confirm that the actress is expected to appear in an unspecified number of episodes next season, so it's entirely possible Juliet survived Jughead and her absence will be explained in another way. (Check out Doc Jensen's column this Wednesday for a comprehensive Juliet theorypalooza.)

We posed that question to Michael Emerson who claims he doesn't know the fate of Jacob, but since Ben was the one to stab him, we don't quite believe him. "I have no idea, honestly, I wonder. I can't wait to see that next script," he says. The cast of Lost goes back to Hawaii in the middle of August to shoot the final season, and Michael is really looking forward to it: "It's certainly bittersweet, but it's sort of exciting to know that they're not going to string it out. They are going to end that sucker in 17 episodes. I can't wait to see how they do it." We can't either!

I understand S4 being only 17 cause of the strike, but why S5 and S6 are going to be that short too???

When they signed the contract to end the series after S6, it was with the promise of making just 48 more hours, and to have each year start in January/February to decrease reruns. Before the strike, each of the last three seasons were supposed to be 16 episodes/hours long, but the strike cut S4's total to 14. So with 34 hours left after S4, they had to divide it to 17 for each of the last two- so technically, the strike gave us one more extra episode for S5 and S6 than we would have had.

There are a lot rumors about a LOST movie, but Damon and Carlton deny the possibility. But, then again, they denied so many things that later on materialized. I think Ben is fashioned after them, LOL

Dunno the real meaning to this, but if "LA X" is translated to Spanish that would mean "THE X", as in refering to the letter X... and normally when you hid a treasure or you wanna point something out you write an X to indicate that something important is there... so maybe this is refering to that: pointing out something, like knowing the location of the Island... I'm just drabbling, you know, cause I'm complete cluless about S6... but there go my two cents...
