Ah, yes. Wills and Harry actually have the protection of British law that forbids the media from doing too much prying. Although obviously it has its limits, Diana being the prime example. But the royal family can impose restrictions and penalties if anyone goes too far, and I believe that was in force and played a role. But I think you're right, some amount of respectful distance just seems like common sense not only out of respect for the person but also for their own good. I got sick of all the Britney coverage. The girl was clearly having a meltdown. Her fame actually was an obstacle because she could flaunt her defiance and no one stopped her until she ran into the legal system. Her fame also put her of the reach of feedback and ostracism the rest of us suffer that can keep us from going over the edge.

Do you think we could persuade the royal family to intervene if/when our darling Michael gets harassed???

@emailcopywriter just posted a link to this article over on Twitter. It made me think of the conversation we've been having about the invasion of privacy. Very sad and very chilling: The Night We Live-Tweeted The Suicide of A Desperate ManI did an article for my blog about this dumbing down/increased apathy caused by the Internet and its effect on dating not all that long ago. For all the good it can do, there's definitely a dark side to the social media circus.

I think Michael would be a good candidate for another PSA, like the ones that actors did, (and perhaps still do?) on NBC, called, "The More You Know." He could promote the importance of reading, since he likes Shakespeare and reading, himself. YES

It's like the most basic moral values, let alone courtesies, have completely evaporated. Honestly, I am so scared for my future children, and wonder what kind of society they'll be born into.
