I just heard on Twitter that ME is signed on to be in a movie. "Chickadee." Details from link on Camille Moriarty's blog links to screendaily.com report. More details, please. Anyone.

I saw this on twitter too. So excited he's signed on to do a feature. As much fun as it would be to see him in a big blockbuster like Batman, I'm glad to see him do what appears to be another indie film. They are the best and I think more Michael's style. Plus, indie films can turn out to be big hits. But big hits or not they are so often higher quality story telling then the big mega hits. Can't wait to hear more about this!

I'm in the process of email interviewing someone who attended the SAG event. Unfortunately, Michael did not mention Chickadee and she could give me no further details. Sorry, y'all. I'm watching entertainment news very closely now that I have the blog. I will let y'all know as soon as I hear a peep. No pun intended.

I hope that his role will be a good role, not a creepy one...

It's listed as being "in development" which could mean the actual production is a year--or even longer--in the future. Looks like they're still raising funding as well. Also, director Seidelman is currently listed on two "in production" features: Ice (2010) and Word of Mouth (2009) on IMDB. Technically, this means they're still shooting/in principle photography, though I somehow doubt he's directing two projects concurrently. He's going to be directing Price of Fear (aka Conversations With the Monster), which is currently in the casting stage of preproduction. IMDB did update over the weekend to include Chickadee as a 2010 production. Michael has worked with Seidleman previously on Grace & Glorie. I know he enjoys working with directors he's had a good relationship with in the past. That could explain why he's already (supposedly) signed on to such a young project.
