LOL I actually had a dream Michael won hehehe hope so!
I don't really care about the emmys (never have) except for this year just because of Michael! (ok and it'd be cool if 30 Rock wins anything hehe)

I find 30 rock over rated as well. I like the Emmy's a lot and w/ NPH at the helm, I'm SSSOOO wicked excited!!

30 Rock will certainly have a fair share of Emmys again. As for Michael, I'm a bit worried that less critics are picking him to win than they did last year. Of course, maybe that could be a good sign since critics and the rest of us were wrong last year. So far, it looks like William Hurt and Aaron Paul are the biggest threats to Michael, as I feared.

LOL I dunno maybe it's because 30 Rock is the show that represents my sense of humor, that one and arrested development

Just my take: Don't know about Aaron Paul, but he's obviously getting rave reviews, so maybe he's a threat. But the Shat might take it as a swansong nod, Wm Hurt for his star power. Slattery? I'm disturbingly fascinated by "Mad Men," but some of the other supporting actors on that show have it over Slattery, IMO. Still he does get praise for that so it's possible.
I'll still hold out the hope we'll hear Michael's name.

Well, Mike wins alot of Emmy's. That does it. His name is now Mike Emmyson. You should ask for royalty checks for that name, since it was used in an icon for the online comic strip "Benry Knows Best" today, at www.theackattack.net/?p=805

Actually the Emmyson goes back a couple years to some columnist who was trying to be too clever by half. But it works in the Ack Attack. I just love those.

In fact, I find them kind of dumb. (Go ahead throw tomatoes at me. Maybe someone will find me to be the young kid who finds that the emperor is nude and does not have a magnificent gown on after all.)

But alas, cannot please all in the crowd

I think they are more kind of cute than funny, but some strips made me smile.

I'll give it a try. Someone else will probably be able to do a better job, though. ;D
He says he feels like he's living a character actor's dream. (A character actor is an actor who is not known as a leading man, but often plays a supporting character, like Ben on Lost or William Hinks in The Practice.) He flew to Hawaii to do a "guest spot" on Lost, which means he expected to be in only a few episodes. 4 years later, the role has become the role of his lifetime. (That could mean a lot of things: maybe that Ben is the role people will always think of him as playing, a role that made him more famous, one of the more complex characters he has played, and so on). He then salutes (pays respect) to the other formidable (great, intimidating, powerful) actors in the category he was nominated in. Then he pays respect to Carrie, calling her steadfast and beautiful. "Steadfast" means when you can rely on someone and they are always there for you. He also salutes his representation (agent or manager), and everyone who is a part of Lost. He then says "thank you very much" in the Hawaiian language ("mahalo nui loa").

Thanks ^_^ I didn't get that part either. And I had to look in the dictionary to see what "steadfast" meant Edith: the cartoons are... more like icons or emoticons very tiny, and yeah I think they're meant to be cute rather than funny, but I'm with you, I didn't really find them neither specia or funny, cute if anything, but hey I'm no artist so...
