What does everyone think of using Emerson as a first name? I personally think it sounds really cool, and I think it goes well with my last name. It would be Emerson Clark. ;D
I doubt we would end up using it though...at least not for our first child. If our first child ends up being a boy we have already chosen Tristan for his name. However, if we had a second child and it was also a boy I would try my hardest to get my hubby to agree on Emerson. I think its great!

I think Emerson is cool for a boy's name. I also like Benjamin, but I liked that name before LOST.........my son's name though is Conor, because I'm all about traditional Irish names (since my heritage is MOSTLY Irish)

I like Emerson, but I would call my first son Noah, and Corben for the second

I don't have childrens, but my favourite names are Eloi (boys) and Sara (girls). I don't know if Eloi have translation to English (I think Sara add an "h": Sarah). Here we have Catalan names like Arnau, Oriol, Roger, Joel, Ignasi, Xavier, Jordi, Francesc...or Laia, Alba, Paula...

I like Emerson as a first name, I like the sound of it. I don't have children, either, but my choice would be Marco (or Michele, why not?) for a boy and Elisabetta for a girl.

Is Emeron a real first name? Although I like very much the tone which it has, my son will be called Gabriel or Sasha. I found no girl's first name which pleases me for the moment, that will be sure the feminine of these first names: Gabrielle and Sasha But the dad does not agree ;D

it's become very popular to use a last names as a first. I have a cousin who named her son named Brennan. It was her last name. Niece named Blair. It was my grandma's maiden name.
I think Emerson would be very cool........

I have heard of it as a first name, and I like it, but I wouldn't use it. I'd use Aaron or Seth for a boy, and Rose or Leanne for a girl. I know Michael can be a surname in part - I've met people with the surname Michaels or Michaelson. I wonder if there's someone in the world called Emerson Michaels or Emerson Michaelson?!

Oh and about the name Ben ... it's a great name for a dog. We're thinking of getting a dog, and if we do, I'm gonna make sure it's called Ben!
