One question- are the awards picked based on the tape submitted or the overall performance of the actor? based on the tapes submitted. But perhaps the voters have seen more performances if they watch the show. |

Boston Legal really does just need to be euthanised when it comes to the Emmy's. I really can't see how that bloody show manages to get any nods, and so does the Shat. I mean, probably the best thing he has done in the last decade was those rediculous Kellog's All Bran Yoghurty commercials. I agree with your rankings for the competition Bob, and await in anticipation what happens. We all know Mike is the better actor, I just hope those judges actually realise that too I don't think those commercials are aired in the United States. We have the Priceline commercials: |

After I read this bobdoc I have just one question...what do you think...will be Michael the winner? It there any chance? There is certainly a chance, but I don't know if Michael is going into this year as the top favorite. He, Hurt and Paul are tight together at the top, but Michael isn't the favorite that he was last year. Then again, maybe that's a good thing, considering how Michael lost as the big favorite last year. On the fangirl/boy side, we will certainly be looking for shots of Michael on the red carpet to hold us over, before the long wait starts. Wire Image is probably the best online site to find red carpet pics, at www.wireimage.com/ And E! and the TV Guide channel have exclusive red carpet TV coverage- since CBS is broadcasting the show, they won't have any pre-Emmy coverage since they have to air football and 60 Minutes beforehand. |

Technically, Boston Legal has already been euthanised, since last year was its final season, so this is Shatner's last shot at the Emmys. Since the Emmys didn't even nominate the series or James Spader, perhaps the Boston Legal Emmy spell has been broken. That's why I don't regard Shatner as big of a threat as Hurt and Paul are- but I don't want to take any chances, either. |

I have to wait until tomorrow, as well, and I hope Michael wins his deserved Emmy. About BL I beg to differ: this was an amazingly well written, thought provoking show and I miss it big time. And Shatner playing a man with Alzheimer's can move to tears, take my word. Still, Michael has to win. I hope to read good news in the morning. Good night and good luck! (cit.)  |

SAW MICHAEL ON E! THEY WERE TALKING AND I KEPT THINKING "THE GUY BEHIND THEM LOOKS LIKE MICHAEL!" BUT HE HAD HIS JACKET OFF.... NEXT THINK I KNOW HE'S STANDING BEHIND NEXT TO THEM.
I WON'T SAY ANYMORE CASE YOU ALL HAVE NOT SEEN HIM YET....

I just saw him and Carrie myself- surprised, since the official red carpet ceremonies don't start until 6. I'll look for clips- and there should probably be some red carpet photos around soon, I'd imagine.
