In 2005 and 2007, Terry received an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama for his work as John Locke on Lost. Terry admitted on the TV Guide Channel that he did not have much faith in the series Lost at first, calling it "The Mysterious Gilligan's Island of Dr. Moreau". The show, however, became one of the most popular on television, and on September 16, 2007, he won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Drama Series for his role in Lost. In March 2009, Entertainment Weekly reported that Elizabeth had been cast in new ABC pilot for V, its remake of the classic science fiction television miniseries. Although ABC and Warner Bros. officials told the magazine she was only cast as a guest star, the announcement led to speculation and concern that Elizabeth's character would be killed off at the end of Lost's fifth season, which ended on a cliffhanger that left the fate of her character unknown. Elizabeth was later named the lead actress on V in an ABC press release and various sources reported that she will guest-star in Lost's sixth, final season.

She originally auditioned for the role of Kate, but the producers were so impressed with her performance that the roles of Sun and Jin were created.

Nestor appeared in nine episodes of Lost's fifth season. He was announced as part of the main cast of Lost for Season 6.
Second place
Alan Dale
Alan appeared in the second season finale "Live Together, Die Alone" of Lost, as Charles Widmore, a part which has since become a recurring role. Widmore replies, "When the nightmares started." Charles asks Ben if he has come to kill him. Ben says "we both know I can't do that." He instead accuses Widmore of changing the rules and killing his daughter. The two argue about who bears responsibility for Alex's death. The debate concludes with Ben vowing to kill Widmore's daughter, Penelope, so that he will know the same pain Ben knows. Widmore claims to know "what" Ben is, saying everything Ben has he took from Widmore. Ben says Charles will wish he hadn't "changed the rules." Terry O'Quinn
After a string of recurring appearances on Alias (2002–2003), as the FBI Director Kendall, Terry became a favorite of television producer J.J. Abrams. Following a seven-episode guest run on The West Wing in 2003–2004, Terry received a call from Abrams indicating that the producer wanted to cast him in his new television drama Lost without any audition. In a Tv.com interview Terry commented that the reason he felt comfortable playing this character is because he's a bit like him.
Thanks so much to all you guys who nominated/voted! This was really fun to organize, I hope we do it again! ;D ;D ;D
