Has anyone else noticed that Michael's bald patch has more or less disappeared? Go back to season 2 and it's Really noticable but now it's not. What's his secret? I love his hair especially the spikey/messed up look it's so cute ;D The smart off islind look was nice too but scruffy hair Ben does it for me everytime ooooh yes!

Oh, yeah, the man is definitely going bald, and I liked that they showed that. But then I see they put in weaves to make him appear to have more hair. The color went a little darker. But I dunno. I don't mind showing such "imperfections" or signs of age, but in Hollywood, you must hew to the standard of a youthful appearance: a full head of hair for men, wrinkles are OK on men, and really surprisingly few men can get by with being gray. I wouldn't be surprised if he hasn't been pressured to "fix his nose." (And I'm glad he hasn't because it gives him such a great profile.)
That pressure to fit a certain standard is why I haven't watched a lot of TV. So many of the actors have had so much work done and added so much, they don't even look real, and so I can't relate to that.

I've been rewatching all of the seasons getting ready for 6 and I've noticed too that his hair is thicker. If they were going to use a weave on his hair, why didn't they just do more of them instead of those awful hairpieces he was wearing in the flashbacks in season 5???

If you ask me I actually think his hair has grown a bit since season 2 I don't think they've done anything to his hair apart from the flashback scenes. Ooooh I love his hair I just want to run my fingers through it

I just assumed he'd got hair implants because his hairline is less receeded than it used to be aswell

I'm not sure about the front just that the back of his head is fuller it can't be implants coz i've seen him on other things and his hair is exactly the same as in lost.

Thats what I mean- hes had professional hair implants that are pretty much permanent, not some hairpeice the makeup/ costume dept have come up with. His hair line is definately less receeded than in the S3 promo photos I have of him

No expert here, but would weaves work to make it look fuller? Implants I hear are painful, but then all I know is from hearsay. If it's what's needed to be done to stay employable, you do what you do. I swear Matthew Fox has something going on with his do. Front hairline looks a little contrived.

Matthew Fox's hair bugs me it's that little bit at the front, there's a gap I don't know why it bothers me so much it looks as if he's accidently shaved a lump out of it.
