Most signs seem to indicate a letdown tonight, after last week's big showing. For one thing, this ep is Jack-centric. For another, I suspect Ben isn't in this one, so I'm not labeling this as an ep Michael's in yet. For one more thing, it looks like the focus is back on the Temple plot as a whole. And since last week set such a high standard for action and answers/clues, most any "week after" episode would look like a letdown by comparison. However, after the big clues last week, perhaps a new light will be shed on them here. And Jack might be slowly inching his way back to competancy, after his clashes with Dogen two weeks ago- plus it looks like he's not carrying the load alone here. Also, Damon and Carlton wrote this themselves, which is a clue that this might be an important outing. So despite the negative signs, let's try to stay cautiously optimistic on this one. "Lighthouse" Written by Damon Lindelof & Carlton Cuse Directed by Jack Bender
Hurley must convince Jack to accompany him on an unspecified mission, and Jin stumbles across an old friend.

And I, even if the episode does not have Ben, find that episodes written by Darlton tend to be really good episodes. Just my 2 cents worth.

I just noticed a big coincidence- this is the first of three Lost episodes that will air on the 23'rd. Next month, episode 6:09 - a rather gigantic outing - will air on March 23, and the series finale will then air on May 23. That's three very big episodes airing on one of the most cursed numbers - and what's more, candidate #23, Jack, is starring in the first episode that airs on the 23'rd.

I think not. And now that we know with whom the number 23 is associated, could it be those eps focus on Person 23.
My first impression after watching just once was what was that? It was good was really I think the show got a dose of the morphine given to character in "The Forgotten" that aired after "LOST."

I liked the episode despite its lack of ben and locke. Actually, I think my favorite part is when they found Shannon's inhaler. Anyone who's seen the Lost at Comic con 2009 will understand why. Unfortunately, I don't think many questions were answered.... could it be that claire is actually the bad person that is coming to the temple that jacob warned hurley about in the end, not flocke?

Yet again another disappointing episode. Who cares if Jack has a son? What has that got to do with anything? Time is rapidly running out and they just keep coming up with more stupid questions. I'm seriously debating not continuing with this season. The only comment worthy parts of this episode were Jin's boxers and psycho bitch claire. I hope she does axe Kate in the chest. Once more we are subjected to a Jackass tantrum I really can see the whole thing turning out to be one HUGE disappointment and cannot see how in 12 hours (or less) they are gonna tie up the loose ends. Especially now we have been introduced to the dreaded SPAWN OF JACKFACE

I voted 7. Best in this episode was Hurley and Flocke at the end. I'm not a Jack fan and he really gets on my nerves but it wasn't that bad. There was a moment in the lighthouse when I was afraid Jack will hit Hurley. Glad he did not.

Well, if Jack hit Hurley, my hope is that Hurley would sit on Jackface 'til it turned blue. I'd help add weight.

Yet another episode without any Ben. Why the heck is he getting so little screentime? Hey Darlton, that's stupid.

I like Jacob, and I fancy his lighthouse!
I liked this episode. I'm beginning to trust the writers, that they are going to tell us, not all, but the most important things.
So Jack has a son. It seems that life of these characters would have been very different if Jacob or MIB was not messing them around.
Bad person coming to the island? -Widmore?

The mirror was cool, before Jackass smashed it. But I don't like Jacob a bit. He doesn't give a damn about his own people at the Temple, as he didn't care about Ben. He didn't bother to tell Hurley to warn Dogen. He only cares about manipulating his candidates. Btw, ''Linus'' is crossed out, so it looks Ben wasn't one of them, Roger was. That's sick.

I voted 6, this was an OK episode, I liked The Jacob + Hurley part, and Claire's insanity And I agree with Steph, who gives a beep about Jack having or not having a kid?? Sure the Japanese guy (can't remember his name) appeared in Jack's normal life, so what? So far I think the "parallel life" idea is not really helping the show at all, the only good one so far has been Locke's, and the only good parts (not all of them though) nowadays is back in the Island, everything else seems like a filler. But about yesterday's episode, I don't get one thing: "This is not John, this is my friend!" huh?? ok wait a second, supposedly in the correct timeline, the dharma people (Hurley, Sawyer, Sayid, etc..) are nos stuck on the same timeline that the people from Ajira flight, right? Meaning, Locke has been death for.. what? 5 days? a week? So Smokey took the shape of Locke before he died? I thought he could only take the shape of death people, like Christian, Horace, etc... Why didn't he do that before then? Why not take Jack's shape, fool everybody, somehow lead them to kill Jacob, destroy the temple and any other thing and done deal! And how does one get "infected"? Is Claire the new Russeau? Could it be that smokey does that only to women who have had kids in the island? does that have anything to do with women who got pregnant in the island dying before the baby is born? Weird. But I'm sure next week will be fun though, hopefully smokey will tear down that boring temple and we'll never have to see it again *please let Miles live! don't care about anybody else in that temple, maybe Cindy and the kids, maybe*
