Why can't the Smoke travel across the ocean?  As Sawyer pointed out... Because the island is a cork which prevents him from leaving anywhere.. and, moreover, what was MiB`s first body and what happend to it?.. and why don`t we still now MiB`s name?? Probably, because it`s familiar to us?.. and his name will reveal a great secret?.. |

I think the body we associate as being MiB isn't actually him, and that we don't really know what his original body is... in Ab Aeterno he said that Jacob had taken his body, so I figured that meant that the body he was inhabiting (the one we "recognize" as the MiB) wasn't his and that that was him imitating a dead person, like he's been known to do numerous times with Christian, Yemi, etc.... so I think you're right, we don't know his name because it's familiar to us, just like we don't know what his true body looks like, because it's also familiar, if that makes sense.... |
