I love the way this episode humanized a lot both Jacob and MiB. They don't know about the island much more than Ben does, after all I've always been a Mibber (I know, it's not a real word ) and I am now more than ever, but this time I felt for Jacob too. Both of them reminded me of Ben, MiB when he saw his dead mother, and then decided to join the ''Others''. Btw, they were purged like Dharma, and for the very same reason: they were messing with the exotic energy, aka the Light, that must be protected, because if released...would cause a massive failsafe-event and destroy the planet/get it unstuck in time?...

Jimmy Kimmel marked the episode with a special Jacob/MIB skit/commercial.

Fantastic episode...Lot of questions answered WOW Jacob and MIB were brothers, I felt so sorry for MIB I knew he wasn't evil. YAY!! we finally found out who those skeletons were in the cave. So nice to see Jacob he's HOT!!

That's one of the many nagging questions they raised that will never get a chance to be answered. If the MIB managed to get the wheel back up again, it stands to wonder why he couldn't use it. If Jacob eventually built it to leave for off-island trips, it stands to wonder how he found out about the wheel in the first place, and was able to perfect it. None of that explains how the wheel eventually became frozen either.

Great episode. Finally something more about Jacob and Smokey. And I like the actor, who plays Jacob - he's cute and very talented.
