I KNEW IT!
I pointed out to my hubby and co-workers that was where the black eye was. They didn't do a good job covering that up at all on the show, try as they might have.
OUCH!!!!

OUCH! That must have hurt. Why did they have to cover it up if Desmond punched him? he would have had bruises anyway!!!!

OUCH! That must have hurt. Why did they have to cover it up if Desmond punched him? he would have had bruises anyway!!!! There were some scenes in which he would not have had a shiner—like the ones he was on the island and when he played Dr. Linus before his encounter with Desmond.

Hahaha, I thought I saw it, too, but almost didn't believe it because they're usually so good with the make-up. Seeing how dark the bruise was, it's no wonder they had trouble with it!
