The final DVD of the show comes out in 12 more days. But for me, Lost will really be over once my final book on the show is self-published. For the third straight summer, I wrote a guide to Lost and will self-publish it through the company iUniverse, to complete my Lost trilogy.
This time, it offers a guide to Season 6, just like the episode guides from my first two books. In addition, I have revised my lists of the 42 greatest characters, episodes and scenes to include Season 6. And of course, there are goodbyes at the end.
Since I sent the manuscript today, and it takes about 40-45 days to get done, it could be made available at around September 22, of all days.
"Lost: It Only Ends Once" will be out on iUniverse, Amazon and Barnes and Noble at some point in late September/early October.

Bobdoc - how do you find self-publishing? I'm still torn about what to do once my novel is finished. I've heard great things about publishing with Kindle but I feel the need to try and do it old school.

Self publishing is great to ensure you actually get it out there. However, you largely have to do your own marketing, and I don't really have the budget for that. It depends on what kind of package you get, and how much money you can spend on the other stuff.
Using self publishing is good for Lost books, since I need to get them made quickly. However, my Holy Grail is still to get a book published without paying for it.
