I didn't care for it. If it continues to go this way, I will not give up watching The Office first. I would rather see Michael in a comedic role. I think that Ben was a great character because he had pathos and he was mysterious and funny. I don't like Mr. Finch, so far.

I got three vivid Ben flashbacks watching this. The first was when Finch stated everything he knew about Reese, in pretty much a beat for beat recreation of Ben's "I know you, John Locke" speech from Man From Tallahassee. The second was when he pulled out a series of passports that could have come from Ben's old secret room. The third was when he said "I've been watching you for a long time, John." and for a brief moment you could almost imagine it was part of one last Ben/Locke exchange.

No all that impressed. I wanted to get more background that built up the whole we are being watched scenario. I do like the way the plot twisted. Of course, you might have guessed it but I didn't think we were given any good reason to care about anybody, pro, con or otherwise. I actually ended up like the guy who got gamed and ended up getting made. I hope that doesn't state things too obviously to give it away. Caviezel came off really well, better than I expected.

I'm an idiot, and completely forgot to watch this until it was halfway through. So, I'm waiting. It's on hulu, so I'll watch it this weekend. I'm excited for it, but wary of getting sucked into a new show as well.

Well i loved it. lol its deffo my kind of show, yes finch resembled a little of ben, (handy for me for vidding) but i like finch. Only thing i would criticise is his limp! ROFL when ever he walked with epescially going upstairs i was too busy watching him to see if he can keep up with the limp and i wasn't listening to what was going on. So its a distraction ROFL
hahahah i know im silly
i didn't watch it for just michael. So maybe why i enjoyed it. Reese is hot too! lol and my brain is ticking already at the things i can do for vidding.

Mum's been around here tonight with me and we watched it together, with Sophie online LOL.
Mum and I loved it. She shocked me by saying she wanted to give Michael a kiss. She thinks Reese is hot tho.
I thought the ideas of the flashbacks were good, and I can't wait to see how Finch's story unfolds. I'm guessing the limp will be explained soon enough.
I can't wait for next weeks episode and those uber sexy glasses
9/10 for me. Looks very promising

Good job with the thread, Bob. ""Pilot" [Michael's 1'st Episode]"...ahhh, I love seeing this kind of thread again! ;D Only thing i would criticise is his limp! ROFL when ever he walked with epescially going upstairs i was too busy watching him to see if he can keep up with the limp and i wasn't listening to what was going on. So its a distraction ROFL I had the same problem! I enjoyed it. I could definitely watch this show every week. My mom liked it also- we used to both watch Criminal Minds but it got too disturbingly violent for her so she quit, but so far POI is looking good to her. It wasn't anything mind-blowing, but I like the setup, Michael delivered as always, and I agree with Mythic that Jim Caviezel came off well. It's different from anything else I watch, and I'm looking forward to the next episode.

From what I can guage from other boards, the show is generally getting good results. my problems might have been my expectations were way high, given that they teased the whole electronic frontier stuff, and it seemed to have been played down too much for my expectations. But all in all, if it's a success, it means we'll see more of Michael and that's always good as far as I'm concerned. Who knows, it might get better as things go along.

I thought it was pretty good. I'll give it a few more episodes. I miss Ben's snarkiness. Finch is mysterious but right now a little flat. They tried to cover a lot of material in the first episode so maybe that's why it seemed kind of choppy to me. Glad to see Michael again. Like I said, I miss Ben's humor and sarcasm, but I suppose if he was too much like Ben then people would complain that Michael is just playing the same role. We'll see.

I enjoyed it. I'm not usually huge on procedurals and crime type shows, but this looks like it could have some more interesting serialised elements with the flashbacks and stuff, so I hope they keep that up and reveal more backstory. I agree that it could have done with a bit more humour; the pilot was all very serious - hopefully there'll be some lighter/funnier stuff in future episodes. Anyway, I reckon it will get better as it goes along, and it's great to see Michael again, of course!

And ''The Economist'' end scene too, Ben's ''I have another name for you'' I want Finch's backstory, the whole Finch's backstory. I want a Finch-centric.

I did see some sneak peeks of him in a T-shirt (v-neck style). Maybe someone had to rouse him out of bed, so we'll have Finch pajamas. 😉
Does look like CBS is offering the premiere for free on iTunes. Rats!
