Craig makes a lot of guests nervous, I think, but Michael did great with him! (And I'm not just saying that because I'm biased). It was a fun interview to watch.

You can tell in the episode that they had gone too long not only with Julie but with Michael as well and you can see the edits.
Michael's first time on Craig (whom I adore) I think they just needed to feel out their rhythm together, if that makes sense.

There’s no doubt that, not only Michael Emerson is in love with his pretty wife, he is also very proud of her accomplishments. Just the look on his face while he’s taking the picture of his wife in the limelight is absolutely precious. A larger version of this photo is available here. |

I finally got around to this thread (going out of order). I'm so glad you posted this interview because I've been looking for it on Youtube and couldn't find it. I would say Tavis Smiley is the most important voice in public discourse today. On his radio show last weekend he had a panel including Suze Orman and Michael Moore talking about poverty as the biggest problem facing our nation. Apparently half of our population is now either below, at or near the poverty line. (I'm technically one of them with my income, but fortunate to be renting my place from a family member and paying ridiculously low rent.) The fact that he tackles big issues like poverty as well as pop culture stories and interviews, makes me a big admirer of Mr. Smiley. But then, Craig Ferguson doesn't shy away from the heavy topics either: look up his two shows with guests Desmond Tutu and Stephen Fry.
