So, which other LOST actors would you like to see guest on POI? And would you cast them as a POI, a good or corrupt cop, a pivotal part of somebody's back story...?
I'd like to see Naveen Andrews (played Sayid with moving elegance and grace) and Jorge Garcia (it's too bad Alcatraz was cancelled because it was so wonderful to see Jorge's versatility in a role about as far away from Hurley as you can get!).
So, time to let the imagination run wild. I haven't yet seen all the episodes, most significantly the finale (though I know the general premise of it), so some of the following ideas are probably impossible with the storyline the way it is now. Such is life.
Jorge would play a NY Times journalist who has gotten a tip from an anonymous source that the extent of our government's espionage is far greater than we realize. The source (Root) proves her credibility to him by sending him footage of himself at work, at a bar and finally, in the very instant that she is talking to him. Root obtained this footage from Finch, whom she coerced to obtain it for her, at first under threat of torture. When that didn't work, she promised to deliver a message from Finch to Reese in exchange for the footage. Now the journalist, faced with Root's blackmail, feels he has no choice but to do her bidding and write a damning exposé...
(I almost remember reading or hearing somewhere that Ken's character in season 2 is also a journalist? If so, 'oops'. Maybe someone can come up with a different hypothetical role for Jorge.)
Naveen would be a translator and informant who is also Zoe's exboyfriend. In her latest ploy to win Reese's affection, Zoe tries to play her ex and Reese against each other but it doesn't work - they end up becoming buddies. Reese, desperate that he still hasn't found Finch, gets drunk with Naveen one day and carelessly lets the latest number fall out of his pocket, a number that he hasn't researched yet. Naveen picks it up and sees that it is his own SSN...
