He did play Oscar Wilde in "Gross Indecencies." But that was a play, not a movie.

I wonder what Michael will be doing- maybe he's the head of the cheer camp that Carrie's "probably gay little boy" wants to go to. You said that the Emerson's make a lot of movies involved gays, but has Michael ever actually played a gay person himself in one of them? He played a gay person in The Impostors:  He played a gay waiter in Straight-Jacket, as well as numerous gay characters in several live-theater plays. Ahh! That's Billy Connolly with him! Two actors I love. They are so adorable! |

You can ask, but unless Michael answers it directly, you won't know the answer to that question. I, personally, would not spend much time speculating on his sexual orientation, as we are here to celebrate his career. |

Many people are to some extent bisexual. And men and women. It is not shameful. Michael is excellent actor, he's clever and interesting person and this most important in him. |

im sure i heard sum where he supports or is involved like with a charity or something with gays. i dunno maybe its way of supporting it in his acting.

Michael and Carrie may have a relative (or friend) who is gay. Or they may feel that this world is not understanding that gay people are people, too. Hence, these movies may be their way of educating the world.
Michael may also feel comfortable enough with his sexuality to be able to accept gay character roles.

I think Michael is very much closed person though he looks sociable and kind with people. And he never will be to discuss such themes in interview. At least, I never read or did not hear from him about anything similar |
