www.imdb.com/title/tt1067084/Ready? OK! centers around an over caffeinated single mother (Carrie Preston) and her 9 year son (Lurie Poston), who has big aspirations of becoming a cheerleader. With the recent death of her absent father, her twin brother (John Preston)returns home, and they are all forced to deal with the idea of 'family' - but the big question is, will her probably gay little boy earn enough money to make it to Winter Cheer Camp? In Production June / July 2007 Soooo - THAT is what Michael is doing right now. Not entirely purse-holding. He's billed fourth from the top as Charlie New.

John Preston is Carrie's brother.
So this is a family movie in a way. My question is this: What is with the Emerson's that they always make movies about gay life?

Also, the director, James Vasquez, was the principle protagonist in 29th and Gay.

JMy question is this: What is with the Emerson's that they always make movies about gay life? exactly. I also got a chuckle out "over-caffeinated" description of the character. Boy, that's a good description, it seems to me, of the actress. She seems a bundle of energy.

I wonder what Michael will be doing- maybe he's the head of the cheer camp that Carrie's "probably gay little boy" wants to go to. You said that the Emerson's make a lot of movies involved gays, but has Michael ever actually played a gay person himself in one of them?

He played a gay person in The Impostors: He played a gay waiter in Straight-Jacket, as well as numerous gay characters in several live-theater plays.
