Gracious sakes. I could say I'm confused, which would be the easy way out, but oddly I'm not. Greenleaf, I think you are very perceptive, and despite the language troubles, you have expressed yourself well and with great compassion. Thank you.
As for (most of) the rest of you, don't you have a book club meeting to go? (Just kidding, I'm getting a kick out of your postings.)

I know not what you are talking about. Of course you don't. It's like Vegas, what happens at the book club...stays at the book club (Unless the convo spills over to my journal) lmao. Is this Ben's Book Club Motto?

You guys in Europe are more open and accepting of people's sexual orientation. Our country (United States) is just now coming to terms and beginning to accept that there are other people who prefer to have same-sex relations. So, we tend to be more shocked about such revelations. However, this board is a board that adores Michael because he is Michael. Alas! Russia is very orthodox country in sense of a recognition of sexual minority, Russia is much more conservative than America.. I am bisexual and one of parts of my individuality is compelled to hide *hugs* You're cool here.

It won't be as "controversial" as the last book I brought over. However, knowing us, we might find the topic too hot to handle.

Well you know that I enjoy any *book* brought up about him. Besides if it's not naughty, I'll turn it into something naughty.*runs away*

I am hoping that you will behave as I behave there: Very unladylike.

Insightful as always, greenleaf. And since most interviewing questions center around Lost answers and plot developments , we're lucky to get questions about him as a person at all, let alone the curious proliferation of gay-themed roles in his theatrical (and independent movie) career ;D Most people who interview him likely have no clue or wouldn't notice, I bet. Can you imagine the guts the interviewer needs to have to ask the loaded question (Ashli, et al--or, should I say, Ben's Book Club Members--do not even think about what I just said)? "Well. then, Michael are you a bi or hetero?" It wouldn't have to be THAT gutsy... ;D "I notice, Michael, that many, if not most of your theatre and film roles are centered around homosexual issues, and that you support similar organizations. Obviously it's an issue of some importance for you. Do you have a goal or objective in mind when taking, or even seeking out these roles, or are these the stories that simply speak to you most?" Or sumthin' like that. ;D If they addressed it as a social issue he's interested in, I think it'd be a cool interview question. People usually like discussing things they're passionate about.
