Well, I'm going to go out on a limb and just say it....He's sexy, he's hott, he's gorgeous. That's what he represents to me. With all that being said (and thought), I've came to know his acting abilities, which in the beginning I couldn't have cared about. I never thought much about acting either until I started watching EM. He shows up many of the other actors he works with. Working with him has got to be like working with a kid or a dog -he steals all the scenes. And each character he plays is so distinctive. I'm amazed that he can physically transform himself into so many different people. And he's hot, a sex object and a pleasant diversion. ;D Very pleasant. Every ten years I get a fan crush on someone. Last decade it was Peter Wingfield (Methos from Highlander). Now I'm settling in for a decade of Michael. Then I'll be too old to pick a new one. And if I don't get off this board soon and back to work to produce something publishable I'm going to starve.

I think many people are taken in by his looks, but then we see how wonderful his acting ability is also. He's amazing. I love your "He's hot, a sex object, a pleasant diversion." comment. I concur. *smiles* PS-You'll never be "too old" to have a crush!

Bravo Esbaker! That was a great post! Here, here! I like the fact that Michael is so down to Earth! I love the little glimpses into his life like seeing him with his niece, wife and brother! By, the way, does he have any other family? Like parents?

I like him especially because he isn´t like all the other actors, who are successful at the moment. He´s talented and has the ability to always choose the most interesting characters! Besides he´s sexy ;D!

This is way hard to explain what Michael really represents for me.. I love how he works, he literally has his characters alive and he always chooses the right ones..(or most probably HE is always able to be the right one to play them! ;D) And yet, when I watch him performing, what I can see is both the character and Mike himself.. I guess it depends on his brilliant ability to feel like the character and make the whole world dream.. I admire Michael as a person, the way I can of course, since I don't know him.. but what I can learn about his through interviews and videos and various infos on the net makes me believe that he's a very nice guy! I like the way he got famous, because I do think that theater is the best beginning for an actor's career and yet I am fascinated by the fact that it wasn't the first thing he's done (the drawing and teaching stuff).. I just love collecting pics, videos, and all I can about him to fulfill a sort of "addiction", but this is all about his abilities... I don't have interest in him as a man (don't get me wrong: he's very cool ;D but I would rather say CHARMING) Thank you for the chance to tell someone what i think! There would be lots more to say, but I'l cut it... Hugs

Well.. It took me some time, but eventually I figured out what ME actually represents for me. In a sad, rainy day, when you look out of the window and you can see nothing but darkness ald loneliness outside.. when everithing goes wrong and you can do nothing but wait and hope.. then I sit and look at his pic on my desk and I smile... That's what Michael is for me: the magic that makes me smile nonetheless! Forgive me..today I'm in philosophical mood, I guess.. Luckily, Uncle Mike (I like calling him "uncle" ;D) is also the chance of knowing and talking to you nice people of the Board!

That is so awesome!
True talent is an inspiration in itself, but Michael is also an interesting, kind person.
A true light unto the world.

"Tea's gone cold, I'm wondering why got out of bed alone the morning rain drops on my window pane and I can't see at all even if I could it would all be gray but your picture on my wall it reminds me that it's not so bad, it's not so bad (at all)" From the song "Thank you" by Dido also used in the song "Stan" by Eminem. "This is your biggest fan...-signed Stan"

No, it wasn't Michael picture! Ha,ha! But yeah, the song was written as a story of a guy who's obsessed with Eminem named Stan and how it goes too far in the end! If you can, watch the unedited version because that has the line about how his pregnant girlfriend is locked in the trunk. Anyway, Dido who wrote the song that inspired this rap, plays the girlfriend in the video!

This is a bit hard to put into words, but here goes...
I guess when I think of Michael Emerson I don't really think of him at all. Who I picture is Ben, or Mr. Hinks, or any other character he has played. Most recently it has been Ben.
I admire that he has the intelligence and talent to make a character so believeable that I can picture that character as an actual person walking around somewhere.
For some reason I have always had a problem "day dreaming" or writing stories about the actual person. It always seemed like I was trespassing or getting uber fangirly. lol
I don't want to day dream about ME, I find Ben much more fascinating. The fact that he is able to portray these types of characters who you want to believe are real is amazing.
