Anybody of you have ever found out that a fictional character on a book would have been perfecty played by Michael Emerson if the book have been turned into a movie? I would have liked to se these ones played by him: O'Brien, from George Orwell's 1984, Rudi Gunn, from Clive Cussler's books, somehow Snape, from JKR's Harry Potter.
What about you all?

Seymour from Little Shop of Horrors
I can't think of any others, probably due to the fact that when I read, I envision Michael as everyone.

I already posted these somewhere else. So, why not here as well:
1. Felix Unger in "The Odd Couple." Terry O'Quinn as Oscar.
2. George in "Of Mice and Men."

I'm reading Misery at the moment and since you suggested it, kiagary, I can't help but see Michael as Paul Sheldon now. ;D

Mmm... for example: Paul Sheldon from Stephen King's Misery Alan Grant from Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park I totally agree! And absolutely, George in Of mice and man: I forgot! And Henry Winter from Donna Tartt's The secret history, although he's a older than him.

The image I have is Ben in his stripy PJs, restricted to his bed post-op.
Here's another to add to the list: Brutus or Cassius in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar.

I concur. Nothing with 1984, please. As awesome as O'Brien is, in a way, Michael as pure twisted evil would just be wrong, wrong, wrong ;D Although, since this story is on my mind... an un-hooded Ghost of Christmas Future ( The Christmas Carol, Scrooge, you know - this being the one that portends his death) - that'd be cool ;D It's not completely macabre.

Well, he needn't be O'Brien in 1984. I wouldn't mind seeing him as Winston Smith.

I'm currently reading Queen Geeks in Love. It's a very cute book about this high school girl and her friends who have this club called the Queen Geek Social Club. Shelby, the main character, lives with her dad, who's a scientist, and very into robotics. The dad's physical description sounds exactly like Michael, in addition to the character being very Michael-y. Here's a little snippet:
Dad is sitting at the table reading a newspaper, his glasses perched on the end of his nose. "You look like the Headless Horseman guy," I saw, ruffling his hair.
"Ichabod Crane?" He peers at me over the top of his specs. "I think I"m much sexier than Ichabod Crane."
LOL. Then in the next couple of paragraphs he talks about how their lawnmower, Fred, broke down, and how he's going to be an organ donor.

Foldslinus mentioned this in another thread and I fell in love with the idea.
I think it would be amazing if Michael were to play the father from The Giver by Lois Lowry. And then Sterling could play Jonas!
