So I found this link which is quite interesting - questionable, but well-thought through and definitely worth a look: lost-forum.com/showthread.php?t=30898&page=3Go to post # 38, at about the middle of the page. There should be over 30, maybe 40-plus screencaps of Henry. Basically the poster believes that, using a technique called Neuro Linguistic Programming, it can be pretty much proven that Henry was lying by studying his eye movements. Pretty interesting - people do tend to look off in one direction or another when you ask them a question, as they're thinking, and supposedly what you ask and where they look has some significance. See Post #44 further down the page for his overall observations and conclusions. Enjoy!

I am currently participating in an NLP seminar, the next session is this Thursday. The Lost-Forum folks have presented an interesting theory, but NLP would not be relevant unless Michael Emerson himself were applying it in his rendering of Henry Gale. Now, as much as we all love Michael, and as much as we would LOVE to believe he is that thorough of an actor, I doubt Michael was mimicking the eye movement directions mapped out by NLP co-developers John Grinder and Richard Bandler. Nice access to some Henry screencaps, though!

Maybe not intentionally doing that exactly, but if he was immersed in his character he could have unconciously been doing what a person in that situation would do. Since as the guy points out he was mostly in an internal dialogue mode consider that he was coming up with his story in his own mind characterwise or maybe as the guy points out was trying to remember his lines sometimes.

Haha! Well, that there is some serious study effort, but yeah..I think some Lost fans are trying a little too hard. Maybe not everything is as .."deep" as it seems to be.
Neato find!
