… Lady Wishfort in The Way of the World … AHA! And here we find a role he mentioned in the interview with Faith Salie (PRI's "Fair Game" host) She asked him what his dream role would be, and this was his answer. He called it a drag role. Then went on to name the role and explain a little about it. So, he's had this role before and prolly has some ideas about how to play it. Now I am curious about it. I didn't think I would care that much for it. For those interested to hear it, it's about 6:40 mins into the interview. Click hereNice find, Snivelusfriend. It's sort of helps explain where that comment in the interview came from.

I didn't know that he played a woman; I thought he'd said that he hadn't yet because it was a dream of his, so I thought it was a misprint.
How ironic that he'd done "The Tempest"! I recently began reading it. "Only The End of the World" sounds so sad, too; I want to know what happens to his character in the end.
Oh, you're welcome! I'm glad that I wasn't repeating information.
How do I listen to it? Nothing comes up when I click on the Quicktime bar nor when I click on the MP3 on the website; My computer only runs more slowly.

I have a Quicktime player that plays my video clips. Oh! The page doesn't come up for me the way yours does; I just have bars with the Quicktime symbol in the middle and nothing happens when I click on them, just my computer running slowly.

OK, I now what the problem is. All the files are dowloading at the same time, which slows some people's computer down. I have an extremely fast connection here and at work, so I don't notice it. I will redo the page to allow for this problem. Till then, here's the actual link for you: michaelemerson.net/audio/local-national-675926.mp3

Emerson's career took him through Montgomery From staff reports 01-31-2008 If you happened to catch any productions of the Alabama Shakespeare Festival in 1994 or 1995, there's a good chance you saw Michael Emerson live and in person. A 53-year-old native of Iowa, Emerson at a key point in his acting career found out about the prestigious Master of Fine Arts degree offered through onstage work at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival in Montgomery. The two-year program is affiliated with the University of Alabama. According to Meg Lewis, public relations manager of ASF, Emerson graduated with the MFA class of 1995. That was a pretty small class so the competition to even get into the program must have been stiff. Hmmmm Michael Emerson MFA. I thought that stood for Mighty Fine Ass!

I thought that stood for Mighty Fine Ass! ;D I was surprised that only 8-12 students are accepted into each MFA program; It does sound very tough to get into, although I did watch a couple auditions online for the MFA students that they'd accepted at one school and was surprised that the students were stiff. One had her arms crossed the entire time, and another had her arms at her sides. I guess it's not that difficult to get into if the teachers accepted that. I feel that I'd ace combat and movement training! I've always wanted to fence with someone.

Michael did: Hamlet, (played Hamlet), Players by the Sea www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/061299/nes_b2letter.html;D I would love to do a swordfight! I'm used to accidentely banging my fingers with the aluminum pole or it hitting me in the head. He was in noises off? OMG, that is such a funny play. I wonder which character he played. You could ask him in the letter! (reads summary) I really want to read the play, but my * library can't find it. (curses them) They also lost the brand-new X Files DVD series, which had Michael's episode, "Sunshine Days" on it!
