since ben is no where *pinches him again  * "Sophie what are you doing?" he asked as she scrubbed the blood away from the carpet. "You should be resting." "I can't rest with this all around." "I would of done it" helping her up from the floor. "Ben your too busy chasing after her" Sophie sighed tossing her rubber gloves on the table. "Your right. I'm sorry. You look tired go and sleep in my bed." Sophie shook her head. "I don't want to sleep in there. She's been there. I'll sleep in the spare room" said sophie. "Whens this jealousy going to stop?" he asked her. "When you stop being in love with her." she said desperatley |

Zoe was walking through the jungle back to the village when she heard shouting, some kind of confrontation going on. She stared where she was, listening.
"There you are." She heard a male voice order. "Grab her."
"Tell me Richard, when did you become such a jerk?" Zoe then heard a female voice. Mel?
"When you started threatening the people I care about." Came a cool toned response. Zoe was unable to identify it, having not really spoken to Richard much, or got to know him.
"I guess I should tell you congratulations." Mel spat.
"For what?" he asked.
"You and Sophie are having a baby. I would think you would be thrilled." Zoe's eyes widened in suprise.
There was a pause before she heard the man's cold voice again"Take her away."
Zoe could hear movement in the jungle, so she climbed the tree to prevent her from being spotted. She saw Mel being hauled away by a group of men. What made it more confusing was that she recognised these people from back in the village. Zoe took out her walkie once they were out of her sight, but she kept her eye on the direction they had gone in.
"Ben." She raidioed. "We have a problem."

"It's Mel, she's in trouble." Zoe explained quickly. "It seems like your own boys have taken her, and judging by their tones, I am guessing they aren't taking her for a casual walk around the island. I'm going to follow, and let you know how things go. When I know its safe enough, I'll let you know where we are. Oh, by the way, you don't have to worry about Ethan anymore."

"Why are you doing this Richard?" Mel asked for the tenth time as they moved through the jungle.
"You've become a danger." Richard answered casually.
"It's not like I killed her!" Mel yelled. "I didn't kill Sophie, he wanted me to but I didn't."
"But you considered it. That is enough."
"Ben didn't tell you to do this."
"How do you know? He was been lying to you since you woke up."
"I know Ben. He may have told you to find me but not to hurt me, to shoot at me!"
"Maybe Ben isn't thinking so clearly now. Maybe we're going to give him a break and take care of things ourselves."
Mel tried again to break free from the men holding her but it was no use, "Where are you taking me?"
Richard looked at her and actually smiled, a shiver ran down Mel's spine, "We're taking you to the Temple."

"Good" said Ben. "Contact me where you get more info."
Ben followed Sophie, "I think i know where Richard is taking Mel."
"So?"
"So we have to stop him, from doing something he may regret."
"We? I thought ive been ordered to rest."
"No your coming with me!"

Mel felt her blood run cold at Richard's words.
The Temple. He was taking her to the Temple.
She needed to get away and she needed to do it quickly.

Zoe had managed to remain safely hidden as she continued to follow Richard holding Mel and the other boys from the village. She had caught the odd words that had been said. Temple. He was taking her to the temple. So many questions had buzzed through Zoe's mind. What was this temple, and why did she feel a cold disturbing chill run down her body at the mentioning of it?
Knowing it would be unwise to show herself and try to help Mel without backup, Zoe had to watch on helplessly, hoping Ben would soon catch up with backup. Zoe turned off her walkie until she felt she would need it again. She didn't want to risk Ben raidoing her, and the noise to attract Richard and his friends.
Zoe came up with a plan, deciding that if Richard would plan to stop and rest, she would edge her way around them, go on ahead and set up some traps that might help in Mel's rescue. Zoe had two guns on her luckily, one that Ben had given her to kill Ethan, the other she had kept secret for a long time, in case of back up. If she could manage to give Mel one of her guns, maybe she had a chance of getting away.
Zoe heard sudden movements behind her. She cocked her gun and whipped round to identify the culprit, sighing quietly in relief to see it was Locke.
"Did you have to sneak up on me?" She whispered furiously to him. "How did you know I was here?"
"I've been following you for quite some time now Zoe." Locke whispered back. Zoe grinned. Maybe this could be made easier then at first sight.

"I know what you are planning to do Richard." Mel said when they stopped to rest.
"Do you?" he asked condescendingly.
"The Temple hasn't held a sacrifice in decades. Doing so without Jacob's instructions could create chaos."
Richard stormed up to Mel and held his gun to her head, "Stop talking like you know all about this island. You've been here mere months, I've been here my entire life."
"Which has been quite long, hasn't it? It must get old, not being able to die." Mel mocked.
"Are you trying to give me another reason to kill you?"
"What do you think Ben is going to do when he finds out that you killed me? That you sacrificed me. What do you think Ethan will do?"
Richard laughed and pushed her away, "I'm not worried about Ethan. As for Ben, I'll be doing him a favor. For months he hasn't been able to decide between you and Sophie. This way he won't have to choose."
"What are you talking about? Ben and I haven't been together for a long time. He doesn't love me like that anymore."
"Are you sure about that?" Richard wondered.
Mel sat for a moment and thought, "It doesn't matter. I turned away from Ben to be with Ethan. Ethan is who I want to be with."
"You don't even realize what damage you have caused do you? Every time Sophie sees Ben even look at you it gets to her a little bit more. She doesn't deserve that."
"Why are you so concerned with Sophie Richard?" Mel asked. "Well, besides the obvious reason, of course."
"Shut up. You don't know anything."
"I know you and Sophie are having a child, one that no doubt you'll try to pass off as Ben's."
Richard pointed his gun at her again before loweringly it in frustration, "Get her up. We've wasted enough time."

"So you know what's going on?" Zoe asked Locke.
"Yes, sort of. I have the gist of it. And I have an idea of what you are trying to do." Locke replied. "You do know you won't be able to do this alone? You need back up at least."
"Yes, yes I know." Zoe whispered back rapidly. "Why, you think you are the acting back up? I was planning on waiting for Ben."
"Maybe I can be of more assistance then you think." John replied grinning, his eyes twinkling. Zoe rolled her eyes and sighed.
"Okay, so what's your plan?" She asked.

As they continued to walk Mel watched for any possible chance of escape but Richard had covered his bases. She was stuck.
"Ah. Here we are." Mel heard Richard sigh from up ahead.
The men holding Mel captive stopped and looked in front of them. Mel did the same.
There is was, standing proudly like it had for years. Before Richard was even born. The Temple.
One might think it was a place of worship or of peace by hearing it's name. But Mel knew better, she knew what happened here hundreds of years ago and it was about to happen again.
Mel finally felt the horror of the situation grab her as the men hauled her up the rock steps.
"Tie her up." Richard ordered pointing to a massive stone pillar behind him.
Once she was tied to the pillar Mel really started to lose hope. She knew she couldn't get out of this one by herself.

Zoe was about to push her way through into the open, but Locke grabbed her arm to stop her.
"What's that for? They have her tied up! We have to do something!" Zoe protested.
"We will." Locke replied calmly. "But we must wait for the optune moment."
"And when will that be?" Zoe snapped.
"Just wait and watched, and I'll let you know." Locke replied mysteriously with a mischevious grin.

Mel tried in vain to pull her hands from the ropes tied around them.
She watched Richard walk up to her slowly with a large hunting knife in his hand.
"They are going to kill you when they have found out what you have done." Mel warned him.
Richard chuckled, "Ben will be upset for a while, but he will get over it. And Ethan? I doubt you would be counting on Ben quite so much if you knew his plans for Ethan."
"I know Ben planned to have him killed."
"How?" Richard asked.
Mel knew that she probably shouldn't tell Richard but she figured she didn't have anything to lose. "Jacob told me."
"No he didn't."
"I don't care if you believe me Richard. That is what I heard."
Richard held his knife up to her throat, "You can hear Jacob? That's just one more reason to kill you."
"Fine! Then do it." Mel spat. "You keep talking about it. Just do it already."

Zoe shook her head in disgust, and forced herself out of Locke's grip.
"I'm sorry John, but I can't sit this out any longer." She said to him quietly and walked out into the opening.
"Hey, HEY!" Zoe shouted at Richard and his cohorts. "You guys having a slumber party without me? That's just plain rude now, isn't it?"
"What's she doing here?" Richard muttered.
"I'm here to stop you." Zoe replied darkly to him. "Which I would advise you give up now, because if I don't stop you, Ben will. I've been following you all for quite some time, and Ben already knows what you guys are upto." Zoe wagged her finger at Richard.
"You've all been very naughty boys, haven't you?" She said to them patronisingly, knowing that testing them while they were so angry wasn't the best of ideas. "Ben isn't happy. Infact, I wouldn't want to be around when he gets here. I've seen his wrath, and it aint pretty, as most of you well know. My honest advise to you. Run."
