"I'm okay, I only watched from a distance, they didn't even notice me." Zoe assured Sawyer.
"I was talking about you throwing up, not that." Sawyer replied seriously.
"Oh that, it's nothing. It's probably just because I was grieving." Zoe replied as she sat down on the sofa. Sawyer looked at her concerned.
"Maybe you should see Jack or Juliet - just to make sure." Sawyer suggested.
"I'm fine James." Zoe replied calmly but firmly. "C'mon, lets go to bed."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"What would you like for breakfast?" Sawyer asked while Zoe was sat at the breakfast table, with a glass of orange juice.
"It's really strange. I have this craving for peanut butter on toast." She commented.
"Why is that strange?" Sawyer asked.
"Because I don't like peanut butter." Zoe replied.
"Taste changes." Sawyer replied smiling as he opened the cupboard and took a jar of peanut butter out and put some bread in the toaster. He then sat down opposite her.
"Hvae you thought anymore about the situation at hand?" He asked more seriously.
"What situation?" Zoe asked.
"This battle between Christian and Ben." Sawyer replied.
"Well, with Mel having just died, I'm sure Christian is more focused on killing Sophie." Zoe replied. "I wish there was something I could do, but when I saw Ben earlier, he told me she had run away. I don't know where she is. Besides, I'm more focused on finding Locke right now."
"What? Why?" Sawyer asked frowning, tones of anger detected in his voice.
"I need to talk to him about something that happened to me out in the jungle." Zoe replied casually.
"What happened?" Sawyer asked frowning again, a little hurt she hadn't told him.
"Sorry James, I'd rather talk to John about it first." Zoe replied, noticing the look on Sawyer's face. "Look, you wouldn't understand. I don't even myself, which is why I need to see Locke. He's the only one I know of who has had the same thing happen to him."
The toaster went and Sawyer looked away from Zoe, still hurt that she didn't feel she could tell him whatever happened, knowing that she wouldn't tell him if he persisted. He spread some peanut butter on her toast and handed her the plate.
"I'm just - going for a walk." He said quietly as he made for the front door.
"Sawyer-" But he ignored her, slamming the door as he left. Zoe flinched at the bang, then she felt a familaar churning in her stomache again, then something riding up her throat. She jumped down from her stool and ran, making it to the bathroom just in time.

Mel watched Sophie and John Locke from behind the tree. It had been easy to find them. In fact, she had walked straight to them, never once having to stop and figure her direction.
It was morning and they both sat around a smoldering fire, preparing to leave. They weren't going to get a chance to.
Mel walked calmly from the tree and stood in front of them. She paid no attention to Locke, her quarrel was with Sophie.
"Hello Sophie." she said.
Sophie froze at the sound of her voice and slowly looked up at her. Her face betrayed the same scared look that Ben had a few hours earlier. "No." she whispered.
"Yes." Mel shrugged.
"What are you doing here?"
"Did you really think you were going to get away with killing me?"
Sophie stood, "How did you find out where I was?"
"Ben told me. He also told me something else, about that ring on your finger. But I guess you thought I would be okay with you marrying him too. Well, I'm not."
"Ben and I have been married for ages." Sophie said running her fingers over her wedding ring. "Where is your ring?"
Mel shook her head, "I'm not married. But we're getting off subject aren't we?" Mel pulled out her gun and before Sophie could react shot her twice in the chest.
Sophie fell back onto the ground as blood seeped from her wounds. "Now we're even." Mel said as she moved closer to finish her off.
"Shoot John Locke!" Mel heard resound in her head. She recognized Jacob's voice instantly.
"What?" she asked.
"Kill John Locke!" he insisted.
"But I have to deal with Sophie."
"Forget her, she is nothing. Trust me Mel, shoot him."
Frustrated, Mel turned to John who was watching her warily. He held a knife in one hand. She wondered why she was being told to kill him.
"That knife won't help you." she said softly as she aimed again. She had to shoot him three times before he fell to the ground. She walked up to him and saw his eyes moving around frantically. She shot him twice more and checked his pulse. John Locke was dead.
Mel stood with a mind to now take care of Sophie but was grabbed from behind. Her gun fell to the jungle floor as strong arms wrapped around her.
"What have you done?" he yelled, "You've killed her."
"I can only hope." Mel said as she struggled. She recognized the voice to be Richard's.
"What's wrong Richard? Oh that's right, you and Sophie used to have a thing. I bet you were upset when she married Ben."
"Shut up." Richard growled.
Mel stopped trying to pull his hands away from her throat and instead elbowed him hard in the stomach. Richard released her and she turned and backhanded him. To Mel's surprise Richard flew across the small clearing. He didn't get up.
Mel stood breathing heavy, wondering what just happened. She hadn't been that strong before she died, had she? She had to be running on adrenaline.
Mel shook her head and looked around. Sophie, John, and Richard all lay motionless.
"Leave." she heard Jacob tell her.
"Okay, okay." she said as she picked up her gun and set off for the village.

Emma's unborn baby was restless and woke her up early. Strolling seemed to soothe him, so she headed outside in the early morning light. She grabbed her gun just in case she met any undesirables, but the village seemed peaceful this morning. At least it was quiet until she heard a door slam heavily and Sawyer stormed out of his house. Emma clutched her gun but didn't pull it out of her pocket. She had nothing personal against Sawyer. In fact, he had tried to save Desmond before he died, and she was grateful for that.
"Sawyer!" she yelled to him, and motioned for him to join her.
He saw her and changed course to meet her. She noticed him clutch his gun as well, unsure of where they stood with each other, but he didn't draw it out.
He met her in the middle of the courtyard. Emma reached towards him with an open hand. He accepted it, and they both acknowledged the unspoken truce by releasing their guns.
"What's happening around here, Sawyer? Does Ben have anything planned?" she spoke in a low voice as she glanced uneasily around them.
"Nothing that I know of," he replied. "He's got other things on his mind. Sophie has disappeared."
Emma raised an eyebrow in surprise. Christian might appreciate that information.
"And what's on your mind this early in the morning?" she asked cautiously.
Sawyer's face reddened in anger. "Zoe and I had a fight. It doesn't concern you." he growled.
Emma nodded her understanding. "Okay. But if you need to talk...I'm here."
Sawyer seemed to reconsider. "What do you know about Locke's whereabouts?" he asked.
"Why?"
"Because Zoe is looking for him, and she won't tell me why."
"I have no idea where he is," she responded innocently. "But I'll keep my eyes and ears open, okay?"
Sawyer nodded, and continued on his way.
***** Emma left a note for Jack to find when he woke up. He wouldn't be happy, but this was something she had to do. She watched Zoe's door until she slid out and scurried into the jungle. Emma followed her from a safe distance.

"C'mon lets go!" Sophie said as she grabbed her backpack turning around not seeing John with her. "I guess its just me then." she sighed starting to head off into the jungle. "Unless you want to join me?" she asked knowing full well richard was following her. "I guess Ben asked you to come after me?" she asked as they walked along.
"Yeah....." he replied

Zoe staggered out of the bathroom, sure she had finished being sick. Her head was hot and she felt slightly feverish, but still brushed off that it was anything serious. She went back to the kitchen and filled up a glass of water, swigging the whole glass at once.
"Sawyer?" She called out around the house in case he had come back and she hadn't heard. She knew she had to find him. But she would have to go see Ben first, and after finding him, see about fixing the problems she and Sawyer were having.
Zoe ran into her room. Baby Charlie was sound asleep. She scooped him up gingerly, kissing him on the forehead.
"Lets go see Uncle Ben." She whispered to him softly, and left the house. She walked across the village to Ben's and knocked on his door. He opened it, slightly suprised at who his visitor was. He allowed her in, closing the door.
"Hello Zoe." He greeted, turning to face her.
"Ben." Zoe nodded, giving him a quick glance over. He looked drained. Tired, worried and stressed. "You look terrible."
"Thanks." Ben replied slightly sarcastically. Then he studied her. "You don't look so grand yourself."
"Yeah, well, I'm just coming down with a slight fever. Nothing serious, just a cold really." Zoe replied, taking a seat., still cradling Charlie.
"Ben, I know you have enough on your plate with Sophie missing, and that it's difficult to go find her when you have Molly to care for. I'm worried about her too. But sitting around doing nothing isn't going to get us anywhere. So I propose to you that you look after my Charlie, and continue looking after Molly. I will go find her." Zoe explained to him. Ben eyed her suspiciously.
"What are you really upto?" He asked. Zoe sighed and rolled her eyes.
"That's not important. I will find Sophie, and yes, your suspicions are correct, I am upto something as well, but I am going to incorperate finding Sophie too. I know you have Richard off finding her, but she is my friend, and I do worry about her." Zoe replied, standing back up and putting Charlie in his arms.
"You know, since I claimed my son back, he has been missing you. Maybe I should be thinking about choosing his godparents soon." Zoe hinted as she made for the door. Ben looked at her bewildered as he held Charlie Jr in his arms. Zoe was almost out the door.
"Zoe." Ben called. Zoe stopped at the door, having just opened it. "Thanks, after what's been done, I am glad you can still be civil with me." Zoe nodded.
"I suppose it's only due to Christian and Mel that you're on my side?" Ben quiried. Zoe closed the door again and approached Ben.
"I'm not on sides Ben." She said seriously to him. "Yes, I am not happy Christian was willing to kill my children in order to kill me and Sawyer in the purge. But I don't want them to die, and as much as it will pain you to face up to this, Jacob holds responibility for it. For some reason, Christian has it in his mind to be rid of you. I don't know, maybe it's because he feel threatened by you for his wife Mel, even though you are very much happily married with Sophie. Men, I don't think I'll ever fully understand them and their obsession to be in power."
Ben remained silent listening to her.
"But I think you and I both know who is really responsible for everything that has happened. Who is really responsible for all of our losses. Jacob." Zoe continued. "And that is how I've come to realise that killing each other doesn't actually get us anywhere. I killed Mikhail, and you know what? I regret it. Not because I forgive him. Because it didn't make any difference. It didn't bring Charlie back."
"What are you getting at?" Ben asked curiously.
"It's not Christian who you should be fighting. He's a mere pawn in this game. It's Jacob, and the sooner he is rid of this world, the safer we will all be." Zoe replied darkly. Ben's eyes widened at the realisation of what Zoe was getting at.
"Jacob is a very powerrful man. He won't go down easily." Ben warned. Zoe shrugged, not caring.
"Mel's alive Zoe." Ben added, making her pause again from heading out the door. Zoe turned on her heel.
"What?!" She asked in disbelief.
"I believe Jacob brought her back, and she's going after Sophie. She's going to kill her." Ben added.
"AND YOU'RE JUST STANDING HERE?" Zoe shrieked. "You Benjamin Linus, are unbelievable." She then stormed out the house, sprinting straight for the jungle. Zoe was in a daze from disbelief from what was happening. She didn't even notice Mel until she crashed into her, both of them falling to the ground, Zoe cutting her lip on a tree root sticking out the ground. Zoe stood up, just as quickly as Mel did.
"Mel, you've got to stop what you're doing. You can't kill Sophie." Zoe warned her seriously.
"You're too late." Mel smiled wickedly. "I just shot her. She's dead." Zoe's face fell with disappointment.
"You completly stupid cow! What exactly have you achieved by killing her?!" Zoe shouted.
"I didn't just kill Sophie, I killed our good friend Locke too." Mel laughed.
"You're insane!" Zoe exclaimed.
"Shoot her!" Zoe heard someone whisper furiously. "She's dangerous Mel, she's going to kill you, and then she is going to kill you're children."
Without hesitation, Mel lifted her gun and aimed at Zoe,
"Don't listen to him Mel! I have no intention on killing anybody!" Zoe said sternly. But Mel didn't hesitate. She aimed briefly, and fired. Zoe staggered backwards. Mel had shot her in the heart. Logically, Zoe would be on the jungle floor dead. But she wasn't she was standing straight now, facing Mel. Confused at first, both on her face and Mel's. Then it clicked.
"Mel, you of all people should know you can't kill people who are already dead." Zoe smirked. The colour from Mel's face whitened, and she ran towards Zoe, pushing past her, and through the jungle, back towards the village. Zoe let out a laugh, both with relief and satisfaction. So there was a flaw in Jacob bringing those that had been desitned to die, back to life.
Zoe continued on through the jungle, running again to find Sophie and John.

"What is this place?" Sophie asked as she looked at a dharma logo, seeing a wave on it.
"Its the Tempest." Richard replied. "Its part of dharma. Its basically well all the power from the barricks runs from. But its been abonded since goodwin had to go off when the plane crashed."
"Then its perfect for me!" she said using her powers to open up the large door infront. She smiled and turn to Richard. "You coming?" she smiled. Richard followed with her, as she flicked her flashlight on as it was dark and eerie down the corridor. She clicked her fingers and the large door behind them closed shut making it even more pitch black. Finding a room like a staffroom, she knew she could stay here for a while till she thought what to do next. Collasping on the sofa after a long walk. Richard went over and fiddled with a fuse box, making the place the lights come on.
"He wants you to come home Sophie." Richard said
"I can't i hurt him yesterday. I could do more damage."
"You need to learn to control it then." he said sittin next to her. "And i can help! Just like off the island." he smiled. "Let me help you Soph."
"Ok......"

From her vantage point in the jungle's foliage Emma watched in horror as Mel aimed at Zoe's heart and shot. Her horror turned to shock as Zoe mocked Mel, then continued running through the jungle as though nothing had happened.
Emma struggled to understand how Mel and now Zoe could still be alive. And Locke? Had he survived Mel's attack as well? If he was truly dead, then Mel had taken care of her business for her and she felt relief that she wouldn't have to take a human life. So far in her time on this island, she had survived without killing anyone.
But she had to see Locke for herself; he had survived shootings many times before, and she knew it would take something supernaturally strong to finally finish him off. Her doubt got the better of her, and Emma slipped through the jungle and regained sight of Zoe. She continued to follow her as closely and as silently as possible without giving her presence away.

"Tell me Sophie, what makes you angry?"
"Is this some kind of counciling session?" she joked back. Richard just looked at her not amused. "Ok..... Christian."
"And why does he make you angry?" he asked.
"Because of what he did too me! He's made me a freak." she snapped, things started to shake in the room.
"Sophie stop it!"
"I can't!"
"Yes you can. Think of Ben think of Molly!" Soon it stopped and she collasped onto her knees. Richard crouch down beside her. "You see its him that makes you angry thats when u loose control of your powers. You have to stop thinking of what hes done to you. Your gonna make yourself worse, and who those what can happen and this mission of yours your determination to kill him is not helping. Will get rid of him. But not this way ok?" Sophie looked up and nodded a tear rolling down her cheek. "Think about it, before he came to the island before you even knew of what he had done to you. You were unaware of your powers. You lead a normal life and you still can. I think Ben realised his mistake of you getting involved when we were off the island. He wants you back. But not how you are now! The way you were before you left the island............ I have to admit i miss that too."
"Really?" she asked richard nodded. Sophie broke down in tears and he held her.
"All you have to do. Is not think about him, just think of your family. The ones you love." he whispered rocking her back and forth.

Zoe continued through the jungle, slowing her pace a little, after gaining a painful stitch. She pause for a moment to catch her breath. The hairs on the back of her neck pricked, and she couldn't help but think she was being watched. She wipped round, looking all around her surroundings, but saw nothing.
Taking a heavy breath, she looked at her bullet wound. She felt something damp on her back. She reached round to touch it, it didn't feel like water. It felt a little denser. Then she found it. A hole. The bullet hadn't just got her heart, it had gone through the otherside too.
She looked at her hands, which were now covered with blood, wiping them rapidly on her trousers before pressing on through the jungle, millions on questions burning in her mind, hoping she would find John soon to get at least some of them answered.

Mel didn't even bother to knock this time, she just pushed open the door and went into Ben's house.
"Oh it's you." he said as he stood up from his seat on the couch. "You look even worse than you did before."
"Thanks Ben." Mel said as she sat at the kitchen table. "Am I really married?" she asked seriously.
Ben sat down next to her, "Yes, you really are." he said sympathetically.
"Did you let it happen?" she asked. "We're you okay with me marrying someone else?"
"Of course not Mel. How could I be? And if I'm honest, I'm still not completely okay with it."
"Ben, I don't know what is happening to me."
Ben sighed, "Let's forget for a moment that you were dead and now you area live. I want you to tell me the last thing that you remember."
"Sophie killing me."
"So obviously that stand out in your mind, for good reason. What is before that?"
"Before that I remember leaving the beach on the life raft headed for the boat. I never made it, huh?"
Ben sat back and ran a hand down his tired face, "You made it Mel. But you came back. You really can't remember anything else? You don't remember shooting me?"
Mel stood abruptly, "I shot you? Why?"
"Because I had married Sophie and I didn't bring your children back to you."
"Well then you deserved it." Mel shrugged.
"I agree I did. What about the purge?"
"What about it?" Mel asked, her head starting to hurt.
"You and your husband planned a second purge of the island and convinced John Locke to initiate it. Over thirty people were killed. There is a war brewing between my people and Christian's this very moment for control of the island."
Mel's face paled, "No, you're lying."
"I wouldn't lie about something like that Mel." Ben said taking her hand. "Let me help you remember."
Mel shook her head, truly afraid of what had happened to her memories. "No." she said and pulled her hand out of Ben's. "There is only one person who can give me the answers I need. Jacob." she said as she ran out of the house and back into the jungle.
Ben shook his head and walked out his front door. He didn't follow Mel but instead made a path to Christian's door. Juliet answered his knock and led him into the living room where Christian and Jack sat.
He looked at each one of them before speaking, "We need to talk."

Emma followed Zoe until she reached a clearing. There lay John Locke, stunned and bleeding but still very much alive. Zoe approached him cautiously.
Emma watched and waited. She finally knew how she would trap John, and how she would punish him for killing Desmond. It wasn't going to be easy, and she would have to wait her turn, but she would make it happen. She crouched silently in the tall grasses waiting for her chance. But first, Zoe had to get her own answers out of him.

"John!" Zoe exclaimed as she ran over to him and crouched beside him."Are you okay?" John groaned as he looked up at whoever spoke to him.
"What are you doing here?" He moaned.
"I came to find you." Zoe replied. "I need your help with something." John nodded in understanding, then he spotted Zoe's wound.
"What happened?" He asked as he sat up, leaning himself against a tree. Zoe looked down at where Mel had shot her.
"Mel happened." Zoe replied. "As she did to you."
"You should be dead - with a wound like that." John commented.
"So should you." Zoe replied casually. "Which brings me to what I came to talk to you about John."
"And what's that?" John replied.
"Well, you've been shot before - by Ben. And yet, you're still here." Zoe replied. "It should have killed you."
"Yeah, the bullet went straigh through, that's how I survived."John replied. Zoe shook her head. at him.
"I don't think that's true." Zoe replied. "You would have died of - infection, loss of blood, the wound itself. That shot should have killed you, just like I should have died when the dharma people shot me over a year ago."
"Is this going somewhere?" John interrupted.
"John, we are alive, because Jacob brough us back. You know, you were there when it happened to me. You and that strange black smoke....which leads onto something else I want to discuss..." Zoe replied. John looked at her, listening.
"I've seen it John. I've seen what you've seen. In fact, I even think I may have seen more." Zoe said to him. John frowned at her.
"Seen what?" He asked.
"You were right John. It really is beautiful. Brilliant in fact. The most wonderful thing in the universe I have ever seen." Zoe continued. "The eye of the island." John sat up more straight, paying more attention.
"You've seen the eye of the island?" He asked seriously. "How? When?"
"I was running through the jungle when I heard the black smoke, but it was too quick for me. I became engulfed in it, and then I saw it. It really was beautiful, like you said. But I think I saw more of it. I think not only did I see it, I think I was inside it." Zoe explained excitedly.
Locke's breathing became more steady and frequent.
"I have some questions to ask." Zoe added before Locke could make any proper response. "What does it all mean?"John's gaze averted from her's, looking across their surroundings before looking back at her, his eyes softening.
"I don't know." He replied honestly. "It's what I've been trying to find out for a long time." Zoe's face fell. She was disappointed. She was expecting something more concrete.
"Well - what about this Jacob thing then. He brought us back to life. Why, I don't know. But now it means we can't die. But yet, here I am. Dead, but alive. I can breathe, I can have feelings for things, for people. But will I age? Will it ever be possible for me to die?" Zoe asked desperately.
"I'm not the one to be asking those questions." John replied. "Jacob is who you'll need to ask. Zoe banged her fists on the ground in frustration. She was getting nowhere.
"Then will you help me find him?"

"Jacob!" Mel cried as she fell into the cabin, exhausted. She pulled a chair from under the table and collapsed into it.
Jacob appeared and smiled warmly at Mel, "Hello Mel."
Mel looked at him desperatley, "Please, I'll do whatever you want me to. Just give me some answers."
****************************************************
"I had quite a visit from your wife a few hours ago Christian." Ben said as he sat across from Christian, Juliet, and Jack.
Christian's head shot up and his red eye narrowed, "Don't you dare come in here and talk ill about her. She just died for crissakes."
Ben shook his head, "That is what I was getting at. Mel is not dead."
"What?" Juliet said hopefully.
"She came to my house not too long ago. Looked like she had been rolling in the dirt. I'm sure if you go look at her grave you'll find it empty."
Without speaking Jack ran out of the house. They were all silent until he returned. He was white as a sheet, "He's right." he whispered. Her body is gone."
Christian stood and grabbed Ben's collar, "Where is she?" he asked dangerously.
Ben looked at him calmly, "She's gone, out into the jungle on a murderous rampage which I am sure she has finished by now and to find some answers."
Christian released Ben and turned to Juliet and Jack, "We have to find her."
They were nearly to the door when Ben's voice stopped them. "That's not all." he called. "She's lost her memory."
Christian turned slowly and saw the smirk on Ben's face as he continued, "She doesn't remember ever being married to you."
****************************************************
"How am I alive?" Mel asked Jacob.
"To let you remain dead would have been a waste." Jacob said matter-of-factly.
"You couldn't have woken me up, I don't know, before they buried me?"
Jacob smiled at her frustration, "Your struggle made you stronger."
"Speaking of stronger, why am I?"
"Do you remember when I told you that when you needed help the most, then it would come?"
Mel thought back to the conversations she'd had with Jacob, "No, this doesn't have something to do with a war does it?"
"You really have forgotten everything haven't you? It seems in order to channel your new found strength you had to give something up, in this case, your memories."
"So you made me the slightest bit stronger to fight in a war that I don't remember and really want nothing to do with?"
Jacob nodded.
"You told me to shoot John Locke, why?"
"Do not worry Mel, he is not dead."
"Then why tell me to kill him?"
"To see if you would listen."
"I seem to remember Ben being able to control me like that before, so now it's you?"
Jacob reached acoss the table and took her hand, "Don't fret, dear Mel. There will be no more deaths on this island."
"What do you mean?"
"After the purge this island was left with very few lives. Why would I want to risk any more deaths? We need men and women here to help the island flourish again."
"So, you're not going to let anyone else die?"
"That is correct."
Mel's face fell, "Does that mean Sophie is still alive?"
"Yes, Richard as well."
"Wonderful." Mel said sarcastically. "You said there was a war going on. I thought people died in wars."
"That doesn't mean they must remain dead."
Mel shook her head, trying to clear it, "I'm more confused than ever. But thank you for answering my questions. Are you still going to pull the whole talking to me in my head thing?"
"From time to time perhaps, if you are needed."
Mel nodded, "I guess I owe you for bringing me back." Mel stood and walked over to Jacob. She bent down and kissed him on the cheek. "Goodbye Jacob."
"Farewell Mel." he smiled, "Until your next set of questions."

"Zoe's not the only one who needs answers, John." Emma stepped into the clearing in plain view of Zoe and John.
Locke didn't seem a bit surprised to see her there. He gave her his usual warm, friendly smile, which she always found very odd. "Hello, Emma." Zoe looked startled, but managed to recover quickly and nodded a restrained greeting to Emma.
"There's something I need to show you, John." Emma continued. "Something I think you'll be very happy to see."
"Now why would I believe you?" he asked.
Emma shrugged. "There's no reason not to believe me. I have no ill will towards you. Even when I was your prisoner, you treated me as a friend. Besides, Zoe has just explained why you can't be killed, so that's no longer an option."
Zoe chose this moment to interrupt them. "John is the only one who can take me to Jacob. After that, you can do whatever you want with him."
"That's fine," Emma responded smoothly. "Helen can wait."
John gasped and his eyes grew wide. "What did you say?"
Emma smiled wickedly. "You remember Ben's magic box, don't you? The one that brought your father to this island? It seems Ben's box has revealed another blast from your past."
"You're lying," he said in a raised voice.
"Am I? How else could I possibly even know about Helen? I'm not lying, John. She's here, and she's waiting for you. But first you have to bring Zoe to Jacob."
John scratched his head and looked as if he was struggling with a number of emotions - hope, fear, confusion, old regrets, pain. Finally, he spoke. "All right. Let's go." He headed down a path, followed by Zoe and Emma close behind.
Emma grinned triumphantly. "Now it begins," she thought to herself. "It's time for you to pay for what you did." The briefcase full of secrets that she had stolen from Ben, which he had yet to reclaim, was turning out to be much more valuable than she had ever imagined...

Zoe marched on through the jungle with John and Emma towards Jacob's cabin. She knew that he wasn't going to want to see her, and it would take a lot of convincing, but she didn't care. She had a family to worry about now, a family with the potential to grow.
Another headache starting to press at the back of Zoe's skull, but she ignored it, cringing at first, but managing to shake it off.
"Is it much further?" Zoe quieried after they had been walking for what felt like hours.
"So long as Jacob hasn't moved again." Locke replied gruffly as they pressed on.
