"Name?" Asked the recptionist at the hotel lobby Zoe was checking into.
"Saskia Hogan." She replied sweetly, and passed him her credit card.
"Have you got any I.D?£ He asked mildly as he started tapping away at his computer.
"Certainly." She smiled, and opened her bag, rumaging inside it, and produced him her passport, which he checked, and nodded with satisfaction before handing it back to her.
"Room 23. It's on the fourth floor." He informed her as he rang the bell for the bell boy to take her luggage and handed her a key. "Enjoy your stay!"
"Thanks." Zoe beamed sweetly, and headed straight to the lift for her room. She pressed the button for floor four, as soon as the doors closed to go up, her bright happy appearence turned to a dark and determined one. Floor one, two and three passed, and then finally the lift came to a halt at floor four. The doors of the lift opened, and as she was about to take a step forward out into the corridor, she gasped out in shock and disbelief.
"Ben?!" She whispered in suprised. Ben looked back at her, equally so. "What are you doing here?"
"I think I should be asking you the same question." He replied, a smile forming on his face as a plan formed in his mind.
"So what are you doing here?" Ben asked as he poured her a drink, handing it to her as he sat opposite her in his lounge of the hotel he was staying at.
"To find my way home." Zoe answered him. "You?"
"Just delievering a warning." Ben replied honestly. "So. Why here?"
"What?" Zoe replied giving him a quizzical look.
"Of all places to go to try and find the island. Why come to England?" Ben asked her.
"It's my home country. I have been away for so long, I needed to come back, see if there was anything that could help me..." Zoe explained casually.
"You mean to see if Widmore was here?" Ben replied with a raised eyebrow. Zoe was about to say something in response, but no sound escaped her lips for a moment.
"How did you know?" She asked, but before Ben could answer, it clicked. "That warning....so. He really is here." Ben nodded. Zoe leaned forward.
"Ben. I need your help more then ever. I have to get back to that island. I have to get back to Charlie and Sawyer!" She told him determindly. Ben sank back in his chair.
"It's certainly possible." He told her in relaxed tones. "But it's going to take more then just my help. We need to oceanic survivors too."
"But you know where the island is." Zoe protested. "C'mon Ben. You know they would never go back. Not in a million years. Can't you just take me back?"
"No." Ben replied simply.
"What? Why not?" Zoe asked outraged.
"The island has moved since you were last on it." Ben explained. "And I haven't a clue where. Hence we need the oceanic survivors help."
"What about Widmore..." Zoe pryed.
"He knows nothing about its whereabouts. So you can leave him out of it. His issues with the island are personal between me and him. Best you keep out of it unless you want to end up being hurt." Ben warned her.
"You can't blame me Ben. Not after all he's done." Zoe reasoned.
"True. But you musn't be going out for revenge on that man Zoe. It won't do any good." Ben replied.
"Why not?" Zoe asked. "He killed your daughter Ben. Isn't there any part of you that wants him dead?"
"Of course there is. If I could. I would have done it by now." Ben assured her.
"Then why haven't you?" Zoe asked accusingly. "He's here. In London. Right now. You could have him. Easily."
"Thank you for your kind words of reassurance." Ben smiled weakly, which then turned into a frown. "But sadly, I can't."
"Why not?" Zoe asked bemused.
"It's a private issue between us both." Ben replied fimly. "Like I said. Best you not get involved.
Bit late for that. Zoe smirked to herself, which luckily, Ben didn't notice.
"So, what's the plan?" She asked.
"We need to go to L.A." Ben explained. "And really work on getting those oceanic 815ers back home."
"Saskia Hogan." She replied sweetly, and passed him her credit card.
