Edith's son e-mailed a friend of mine and let her know that Edith is in the hospital. Edith had told me the other night that she had a doctor's appointment that morning (Wednesday) for her leg because she fell down her stairs and hurt her calf muscle.
I didn't know that she would be hospitalized. If any of you know anything more, please let us know. And if I hear anything else, I will let you know too.
And *hugs* to Edith. I hope you start feeling better and get to come back to the board soon! I miss you!!!

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear this. If anybody is ferrying messages to her, include my wishes for a speedy recovery.
I wondered where she was. She's usually posts something.

I'm back. Not totally recovered, but back.
I am a diabetic and when I pulled my calf muscle, an infection set in, which, if not treated, leads to amputation.
The infection is under control. It would have been a better "vacation" if the hospital had Internet connection.
