Oh no!.. I thought of something terrible today.
Ok, so Desmond saves lives. He was the person who forgot to push the button and so the LOST folk fell on the island. Ben said that a spinal surgeon fell outta' the sky at just the right time.
Does that mean Desmond saved Ben and now Ben is scheduled to die too? ;-;

Desmond saved Charlie's life on purpose, but when he found out that the plane crashed because of him, he seemed really surprised.. Indeed he tried to go back to press the button, but he didn't make it.. But, if you're right, I hope Des would stop caring about Charlie's life  and go save Ben ;D!! -Hugs- |

The whole Des and Ben thing absolutely makes sense, except for the killing part. Des would have gotten a premonintion. But Des is probably connected to Ben.
Great insight.
But I thing "flashes before your eyes" was more of a dream, than reality. I think Des was inside his own unconsciousness.

Remember the writers saying they thought that Juliet and Ben were the faces of the others. That means they like them, but they're bringing in new faces so we'll have to see. But I don't see Ben dying off during this season. Hopefully not the season finale, but not before then. Knock on fake desk wood..... |

I thought that it was all in Des' mind but if you run the brainwashing film backwards you hear people saying "Only fools are enslaved by time and space." It's mind-blowing!!! They say it at least 6 times!  |

I thought that it was all in Des' mind but if you run the brainwashing film backwards you hear people saying "Only fools are enslaved by time and space." It's mind-blowing!!! They say it at least 6 times! Maybe the meaning of that phrase is.. You have to be a scientist, Ben said "we're scientists." (You have to be smart.), to live through all of this crazy crap. Perhaps they have a time machine or they learned to astral travel or somthing! I have no idea, this show is insane.  |

No, Ben will make the season but one must consider that characters have a life ARC so Ben must die eventually. Look for it at the end of this season or at the beginning of the 2007-2008 season.
Michael's a talented and accomplished actor and will survive with his future greatly enhanced by his arc on "Lost".
