Wow. Ben had her marked. And that thing was nasty-looking. *backs away* Quite a bit of love lost, there, Ben. Maybe he is evil. (Although after that, and in the scenes before, he looked so vulnerable! *sigh*)
As for the rest of the episode... I don't know. What was with the "we're here to watch" thing? I doubt we'll find out. And the much-hyped answer to why they kidnapped children? Total cop-out. (Unless it really was just a random act of philanthropy and nothing more.) And why is "you are not one of us" (approx.) offensive enough to someone's culture that you'd give them that beatdown?

I would say that I enjoyed the episode. It wasn't fast paced like we're used to, but it did give us quite a bit of insight.
* The Other's form of justice. (eye for an eye) * A new character in Isabel with whom I'm very curious about. * That the Others don't live on Alcatraz * Kate and Sawyer are on the fritz again (doesn't surprise me) * We also saw that through Tom, Karl, and Isabel - they seem to have a very strict policy that will be followed. They want to be peaceful but will snap at you like a snake if you cross that line. * Oh and Jack's tattoos (which I didn't really get caught up on although it was interesting, maybe they're saving more for later?)
None the less, I like the episode and I know in the morning there will be plenty of critics out there saying how bad it was. Good performances in my mind.

Oh and I forgot, why is Alex so angry at Ben?
They showed more proof of this not only by her actions but by his look of tiredness when Ben saw Alex in the room with Jack. That he had brought him there. What happened here?

I think they were there "to watch" Juliet's trial and sentencing.
The mark has GOT to be a symbo of some sort. A Chinese word or character? Something religious?

Here's another one that will make us both run to our blogs: The tattoo, "Walk among us, but is not one of us" = Stranger in a Strange Land = Moses = Reluctant Leader = Shepherd. How about that?

Ben under a lil' umbrella on a beach.. ;_; cute and sad. I didn't like this one as much as last weeks. I guess it was because of all the "OH MY GOD LETS GET JACK NAKED!" -ness and they did way too much time filler in this one. Swelling up the dramatic music and staring off into the distance..:U bah! Now we have to worry about Ben being infected and dying or him never being able to walk again. :/ I have a strong feeling that Ben will be on his death bed by the end of this season..Mostly because they are saving the Ben flashback for the end. I think it will all lead to his dramatic demise. ;_; When they said they were going to "mark" Juliet me and my sister thought they were going to take out her eye! They said somewhere.."eye for an eye".. .Was it just me or did the mark kinda' look like the blast door map that kelvin painted? ..when I heard that eye for an eye thing I got giddy. Not because I thought they were gonna' do it to Juliet, but because anything to do with missing eyes leads to Patchy.

Pez, your eye theory was hilarious. I think they inserted a tracking device in Juliet. Ben definitely doesn't trust her. Would you?

Nope, I would not trust her If I was Ben anway..she wants to murder him! I think that new character (the older woman, Isabel?) I think that she will be trouble. There is something evil about her. I don't like her at all. Tracking device in Juliet?..sounds like a good Idea!..I'd wanna' know where she is at all times..sneaky mc, sneakington.

How funny was it when they were talking about an "eye for an eye" and THE RULES!!
hahhaha
I was thinking it would be funny for Ben to resurrect Zep's line from SAW: "It's the rules."

Yes, Jacob must be able to see into the hearts of the survivors....that was why Ben went to get Locke--he was one of the good ones....and the children are innocents....
Shhez this show is wickedly in depth
And yes, Isobel looks and sounds like TROUBLE. Big time. She just has this...look....that snotty look and the way she talks too.....hmmm
Ok...this one I posted before but i will post again...
Also, remember when Danielle said that her crew got infected and she had to kill them?
Maybe the Flight attandent and the rest of the people whom were taken by the Others are "infected".....but not in the way Danielle thinks. The brainwashing could be the "infection".
I think the survivors who were taken by the Others were all brain washed to be,....different....
That was what happened to Danielle's crew.
Anyone want to share anymore ideas? Especially about the Stranger in a Strange Land episode?
