The interview in question is at spoilerslost.blogspot.com/2009/03/sterling-beaumon-interview_31.html
Sterling could have just forgotten that Daniel's main theory is that you can't change time- since he knows a lot about Lost now, he should know that Daniel did not say in "LaFleur" that you could change the future. That's a pretty important thing to forget about- if he did forget it. But those radio hosts certainly didn't know enough to challenge that.
Since two of the three people in that conversation didn't have enough memory to remember the most important theory of this season, and the other either forgot or performed a Ben-like lie,

I agree I think Sterling is definitely spinning a yarn here (nice one mini-Ben!). If not he's in serious trouble with Darlton for breach of confidentiality.
It looks also though that our Michael has got in on the rumour mongering too:

More cryptic certainly (but what else would we expect from our intelligent articulate man), but ultimately I think insinuating the same thing - that little ben will die!!
Believe it or not this actually makes me hopeful, I am wondering if this is a deliberate spin to re-direct theories/rumours back to ben dying (a red herring) and away from the real character/s that are going to die. I truely can't believe Darlton would allow these comments from Sterling and Michael otherwise.
I agree again with Bobdoc in so much as we shouldn't be worrying that young Ben will die. As we know (even if Sterling tried to fool some) Daniel said that you cannot change time. Little Ben cannot die or it would create a paradox - and I don't believe they would open that whole kettle of fish!
The Dark UFO poll indicating either Ben or Daniel to die is apparently not referring to the season finale death. So as Michael has been seen filming in the finale we have to assume that it is Daniel who is a gonna!
As for the death in the finale, the rapidly removed spoiler from e-online said that the major character to die is a polar opposite to Charlie in at least one physical attribute. Now other than the fact that Ben has brown hair and Charlie fair I would hardly class them as polar opposites. So I think that our man is safe (fingers still tightly crossed though)

Did Lost's Sayid actually kill teenage Ben? If so, does that mean adult Ben will now "disappear"? — Connie
MATT: Already we have heard from Young Ben (aka Sterling Beaumon, full Q&A here) on the matter. Now, let's check in with Adult Ben's portrayer. "Although it appears that the situation is dire, it would be wrong to count Ben out," the deliciously cryptic Michael Emerson tells the Buzz. "Remember that the man we know as Ben has a destiny, and that a conventional life is insignificant when compared to the life of the Island."
