A Peabody is like a Pulitzer for broadcasting. It's no small feat to get one and the fact that "Lost" got one just confirms what we know: It's one of those shows that is and will be an epic. I get a tickle out of the fact that Damon and Michael are there to take. Could just be the logistics but it seems appropriate that these two were there to pick up the trophy.

I wonder WHY he go to all places more than any other actor/actress from Lost (partys, awards, dinners, lunchs, interviews...). Is part of his contract? He likes it? It's an obligation?

I think it's mostly the logistics of who's available, but I think Michael, more than the rest of the cast perhaps, realizes how ephemeral all this attention will be. For all his talent, he's very lucky to be in the position he's in and he's not blowing that off. He is a true professional.

I agree; I also imagined that it's because he doesn't have children like some of the other cast does and is, therefore, more available to travel at short notice.

"I wonder WHY he go to all places more than any other actor/actress from Lost (partys, awards, dinners, lunchs, interviews...). Is part of his contract? He likes it? It's an obligation?:"
I saw an interview with Michael by a NY TV station around that time so he might have already been in New York making it easy to go. He is the only cast member to have homes in both New York and LA that he flies between so he is more mobile than other cast members who live exclusively in Hawaii. Foxy may be the "star" of the show but it's a long way from NY to Hawaii so he isn't going to go to something like this.
Even so Michael does do more publicity than other cast members. Certainly he does more radio interviews (that can be phoned in from anywhere) and gives more interviews to bloggers. He must have a publicist who puts his name out there. Yes he does understand he needs to get as much visibility from Lost as he can. Some of the other male actors (like Matthew) don't have to worry about that. They are classically handsome and no one will easily forget who they are.
