And i second that, not enough Ben and I'm also starting to get irritated by anybody who is not Ben (or Flocke) ^Me too. The ''what are you?'' scene between Ben and Smocke is great, whenever Michael and Terry are on screen together, awesomeness ensues. Also, I loved Smocke wiping away Bram's bunch, and beating the crap out of Richard, both Bram and Richard were being rude and bitchy to Ben, so they totally deserved to get their asses kicked ;D It's just me, or does Smocke kinda like Ben?.... If he does, I'm rooting for him

Wow. What an opener. This episode was deadly. So many things happened that made me go "...Whaaa??", but that's what I love about LOST. Of course, Ben being confused makes me think that he's part of the audience now haha. I can't wait to see what happens

Yet another question, I just saw ep02 hehe that explains some other things... who are those people from the Temple? What do they mean with the "first plane that crashed"? What years it? LOL 'cause the kids and Cindy looked older.
And now I wonder... how is Ben going to either trick smokey or run away?

Cindy must have referred to Oceanic 815 as the first plane, since Ajira 316 was the second. All the Losties are in 2007 in the island reality, so Cindy and the kids are older by three years.
When I watched "Follow the Leader" in my S5 recap last week, I noticed that before Fake Locke gave his speech on the beach, he asked Richard if all of the Others were there, and he mentioned there was "another group at the Temple" So they were already hinting in late S5 that we'd be seeing them later on.

It's funny to see the Temple now after hearing about it in Season 4. When Ben gave Alex a map to the Temple, Karl asked him why they didn't know about it and why Hurley and Claire couldn't go, Ben snapped back at him that if everyone knew about the temple, it wouldn't be a sanctuary and that it's not for everybody. ("Meet Kevin Johnson")
Funny now, because Hurley is there now and Ben is not.
If we back up even further to Season 3, Ben invited Locke to join them as they left for the Temple, just as the Freighter Folk were about to arrive. Then he disinvited Locke after he failed the test of killing his father.(TMFT, the Brig). Ben probably had the first inklings of what kind of problems Locke presented, even if he couldn't have foreseen how it actually turned out.
I also think it's sort of a sad Smocke reveal that he was more interested in talking to Ben about Locke's death rather than Jacob's. It also sounds like an attempt at distraction to me.

I really want Ben and Smocke to team up. ;D That would probably be better than beaten, defeated Ben- but at this point, it'd make Ben the bad guy again, and that wouldn't be the right ending for him.
Still, although "Smocke" has been frightening so far, Darlton has hinted that Jacob and MIB/Smokey's positions as good and evil may switch around a bit this year - and so maybe a Ben/Smocke pairing might be for good after all.

Finally got around watching the episode. I avoided all Lost-related boards 'til now, because of possible spoilers - it's hysteric here in Germany at the moment. My thoughts: It was a pretty good opener, veryintersting plotline with this alternate reality/future/past and the things happening at the island are freaking me out - especially fake Locke/Smokey. - I got scared when I saw that Richard was scared. I may be wrong, but I never saw him nearly losing it before. It gave me the creeps...obviously, Ben too. He looked troubled - I can't stand Kate any more. I have no patience left for this character. She annoys me to no end. - Whaa Juliet...why? I liked her so much as a charakter. I hope, It won't be the last we see of Elizabeth Mitchell - Hurley seems to be more self confident now. Even Jack listens to him - I liked the Japanese leader of the temple-others, he's is interesting - So Sayid is Jakob now? Did I got that right? - it was nice to see Charlie and Claire again - and finally: Ben yay . That's it for now, I'm still thinking about the episode and maybe I will rewatch it

I still have my doubts about Jacob/MIB I keep thinking that we are looking at them all wrong maybe Jacob is the bad guy afterall.

Darlton has hinted that we're going to flip flop a bit on whether Jacob or MIB/Smokey are good and evil, or the other way around. The show wouldn't be any other way if they didn't, so they'll probably start blurring the lines between them shortly. Once we see Richard's episode, then we'll probably have our first real substantial clues. Until then, it'll likely be a "Smokey said-Jacob/Richard/Temple people said" sort of thing, like with most of the Ben vs Widmore war.

When ''Smocke'' said ''Nice to see you out of them chains Richard'' was he referring to The Black Rock did Richard arrive on that ship I wonder. That's the only time i've seen chains on that island, I now can't wait to see Richards episode so we can get some idea about who he really is. ;D I wonder where 'Smocke' is taking him, to the Temple? or somewhere else and what's he gonna do with him, Can Richard be killed?

How long do have to keep putting things in spoiler boxes. Isn't Sunday midnight the sunset. But hey, if you like them, go ahead. I just wish they were more pop outs than point-click things.

I think Jack seems to know Desmond (on the plane), because they ran the stadium stairs together in the episode long long ago.
