The title certainly gives away which fan "favorite" is the focus tonight, and probably which island plotline will have most of the screen time. Therefore, I don't know if they'll have scenes with Ben, Smocke, Richard and that gang - and if they do, it would likely just be a subplot. I'm only labeling this as Michael's 50'th episode just in case they show up, but I give it a 50/50 chance. But I have it on good word that next week will be quite different, so let's go through this to get there. "What Kate Does"

Bobdoc looks as though Ben will be in next weeks ep (ep4) quite a bit, just saw tv guide and it says '' Ben lies to Illana about the statue, while fake Locke coerces Richard into joining his plot''.
Sounds very interesting can't wait... hope Ben and the gang are in ep 3. don't want to have to wait 2 weeks to see them. ;D |

I hated this episode, just like I hate every episode where Kate is the main character and Jack.. To be honest, I'm sick of the temple people, the japanese dude and the John Lennon wannabe guy not doing a thing and just walking around trimming the bonzai tree and preparing tea... yawn.
The only good thing about this episode was seeing Ethan as the doctor (weird hehe) and Sawyer's broken heart. All the rest was just awful and to be honest, I don't know how any event that happened here adds to the plot (other than Sayid is probably "evil" and Claire is alive in the island, and is not herself anymore, that could have been said in 3 minutes, all the other 39 minutes where just a fill.) It better improve next week or this season is up for a big disappointemt ¬¬ AND WE WANT TO SEE BEN!!!! |

Sounds like that episode hasn't been well received. Won't get it til friday so can't coment on it. Was it really that bad? PLEASE TELL ME BEN WAS IN IT? ;D

Loved the line about the LOST ride i'd definately be first in line for that, maybe they could have a smoke monster ride that would be COOL!!!   |

Even Damon Lindelof seemed to be fed up by complaints about last night, which he alluded to on his Twitter account at twitter.com/DamonLindelofBut next week will have Locke, Ben and Richard in the main plot, so it looks like they're FINALLY gonna give the Temple survivors a little rest. |

The only good thing about this episode was Ethan. Ethan rocks. I'm very disappointed in Damon and Carlton. This episode got us nowhere. |

the FlashSideways was worth it. the on island "what kate does" is be a d*****!
I didn't mind Jack - my heart broke for Sawyer and I also like Mr. Miyagi, but it needs to move forward....... |

Okay, like most of you, I'm not a Kate fan. And I definitely wouldn't call this one of my favorite episodes. But I have to say this is the first time I was watching a new episode of Lost and didn't mind that Michael wasn't in it. Maybe it's just that the flash-sideways and Dogen and his crew have me completely mindf***ed, but at the end of the episode I had to stop and think, "Wait, Michael wasn't in that, was he?" This final season is sucking me in so far.
Loved seeing Normal Doctor Ethan. That was a trip, in a good way.
Also love John Hawkes as Lennon; I've seen him in other stuff think he's perfect for what we've seen of this role. "I just lied to him, didn't I?"
Arzt made me laugh.
I was really impressed with Josh Holloway during the dock scene with Kate. |
