It's hard to say what to hope for in this one. It stars Sawyer, who's been on a massive roll since S5, it should have a lot of scenes with Smokey, and looks to follow up on last week's cliffhanger/return. However, it's probably going back to Sawyer/Kate shipper stuff with Kate in MIB's camp, and there might not be any Ben- I labeled it as a Michael ep in the title, mainly because of a sneak peek clip at the beach camp, but I could be wrong. Even worse, this ep has to fill time after last week's Ben showcase, and before next week's historic episode, so it's in a no-win situation. Plus, Dark UFO's pre S6 episode scorecard, which has not been wrong about how an ep would be received so far, rated this the second worst of the front nine by far, and only barely above "What Kate Does" The Losties were united again thanks to good old Ben, but perhaps the reaction won't be so gushy with this one- even though two of the better non-Ben characters are starring. Still, even if the fanbase goes negative again, we can have higher hopes next week. "Recon" Written by Elizabeth Sarnoff & Jim Galasso Directed by Jack Bender

It wasn't bad as WKD, but...I'm starting to get bored, annoyed, or even pissed at almost everything, and everyone on Lost who isn't Michael/Ben. I know it's still a good show, but he's so much better. So. Much. Better. And they show him so little, it's insane. Anyway, back IT: Smocke sounded so Locke talking about his mommy issues Widmore's team was facepalm worthy.

all I can say is that I enjoyed this episode. Locke chucking crazy Claire around was GREAT! having Sayid look on while Claire was gonna gut Kate was fantstical! aw, Flocke has mommy issues wonder what his daddy issues are? Miles and Sawyer, sarcastic partners 'til the end ;D

I have to say I actually enjoyed it too. I had really low expectations for it since it was a Sawyer episode, though, so that may be why I enjoyed it... It didn't have to be very good to better than my expectations I love that Sawyer's a cop!

Well, I really liked it. Not as good as last week, but lots of stuff going on. Lots of reveals and juicy tidbits. I like that Miles is Sawyer's buddy as a cop. And did you get that it's set two days after Sawyer gets back from Sydney, and that Miles' dad is working at a museum on the mainland. Suggests that Miles family came back from the island some time ago, or it's as some people suggest, a fantasy Island projection of how things could have been.
Smocke slapping Claire was, well, I don't want to call it a nice touch, for obvious reasons, but I'm glad that the story is not soft-peddling a depiction of Smocke is the decisive, but slightly ruthless leader.
And Sayid's vacant stare? Holy Smokey!
Just a lot of stuff going on as the pieces were moved around the board, so to speak.

it was an ok episode, a bit predictable since a lot of people - myself included - suspected that Sawyer was going to be a cop on his alternate life. And when that woman (it was obviously a woman) hit Sawyer's car and ran, it was very predictable that it was going to be Kate. Now... Charlotte? that was weird lol
I'm not sure if this episode brought any answers, it was just a vehicle of the plot, which isn't bad, unlike WKD at least this one had a purpose and didn't feel like a filler.
And yes, the Flocke beep-slapping Claire was crazy lol

Dunno, to me a Lost episode with no Michael Emerson looks like a House MD episode with no Hugh Laurie. My opinion seems too polarized even for this board ;D

I'm still having a hard time wrapping around the possibility that Widmore is against the monster, and might be for Team Jacob all along. We can easily accept Ben turning around and fighting against the real ultimate evil. But if that's where they're going with Widmore, we're gonna need a few more details and explanations that they didn't give us last night. Besides, it makes Ben look better if he banished and fought against an MIB operative, not a fellow Jacob worshiper - and if he isn't on MIB's side, it makes Jacob all the more puzzling for letting Widmore get banished in the first place.

I got the sense that Sawyer was the cushion between Widmore and the Lockeness Monster. He might have allied himself with the SM, but he has no intention of getting close. Just as well to let Sawyer take the torching, so to speak. Notice too, Kate refused to take the hand, the Lockeness Monster offered her.

Recon. . Sawyer's gonna re-con.. Con again... But Smokey doesn't seem to trust him as he said that Sawyer' the best liar he had ever met... And how Sawyer's gonna to make his plan happen in that case?.. it is not that easy to con Smokey:) I'm sure, Smokey already suspects that something is wrong with Sawyer...and Sawyer's plan won't work. wwwwh.... Fed up with Skate. Why didn't Smokey let Claire kill Kate?!

I think there's a three-way con going on. Sawyer, Widmore and Smocke are conning each other.
Interesting about the sonic fences. Does that mean Widmore set up the sonic fences? They were living in the barracks when Ben sent him away. So that may mean Widmore set those up, thus he was the one who moved the group into the barracks.

I'm still not convinced Smocke is the ''Ultimate Evil'', there has never been such thing on Lost, just shades of grey.
Widmore will always be a d-bag in my book. ;D
