;D Hey, I just "gifted" myself Lost, Season 2, for Christmas! Actually, I told my husband he got it for me! We also just bought an Emerson wine cooler and an Emerson DVD/VCR!!! Spooky huh?! ;D

I do not know as it have taken place. I never fell in love in a similar way with one character of cinema or the real actor. But since I have seen Michael Emerson in Lost I became absolutely other person. At me as though wings have grown behind a back. I now all can! I have grown thin, I learn English, I try to be more sustained and witty similarly to Emerson, it is more to think and analyze. I as if was charged from him by light energy! And this energy does not come to an end! But I should see every day him, even a photo or film with him. Or even to communicate with those who likes and respects Michael Emerson.  You think, I a lunatic? About such as I in Russia speak " At him has carried away a roof! " |

To be honest, my family doesn't know anything about my loved actors. Because all (famous) men I like are actors, and way older than me too... I'm 17 (since last friday! xD ), and I've had "a crush" for Sean Bean since I was... 14? 15? Can't remember exactly... I just remember that the first males I found "handsome" were from "The lord of the rings", and I moved from Legolas, to Faramir and finally Boromir ;D (quick evolution) And here I am, years later, with him, Liam Neeson, Paul Bettany, Gary Oldman and most recently Linus Roache and Michael Emerson as my favorite actors. From them, the ones I find really beautiful are Sean and Michael. The first, and the most recent one But I don't have posters of photos of them in my walls... never had such thing. The process was very similar in every case (not in all of them, anyways): Watched a movie with one of them, and at first they don't call my attention, but days later I think about the character, which films did he appear in... Then I discovered imdb.com, where I can know about their filmography, and download photos... And, whithout knowing when or how, I think: "he is beautiful" But as I said, it doesn't start thinking that he is handsome or hot, or whatever, just because I like the way they play their characters. I think I like Michael Emerson for his face. And his eyes. Two or three weeks ago, when I saw him in "Lost", I didn't think he was handsome. What I liked was the character. But how... How I can change my mind from seeing him as creepy to the point of thinking he's beautiful... is something I don't understand. |

He just pats me on the head and calls me a "sad fan girl". I'm the same age as Michael. As I've gotten older my crushes have gotten younger. I enjoyed Michael's performance as Henry Gale in the hatch but it wasn't until the season finale that my crush started on Benry. It was the authoritative way he strode onto the dock that hooked me (which I know sounds strange). Then I started looking up stuff about ME and re-watched the hatch episodes with new eyes. Then I watched the Practice and Saw videos on YouTube. Finally I found my way here. I don't understand it either. |

I'm...almost 20 ( December 29th! I'm expecting a birthday thread  ). My favorite actors that I enjoy and find attractive are older...40s, 50s, 60s even. *shrugs* |

^i agree!
i'm 16 and when i first saw him on lost running away from the net (lol) i didnt find him attractive at all but as i watched his character develop i really got excited by him and i dont really care why.
i always seem to get obssessed by things quickly then get over them after a while, though its always there somehow.. like damon albarn, steve merchant, joe cornish and mads mikkelsen are the more recent ones (and less embarassing ones)

i'm 20 and i get crushes on older guys too. i remeber during the Lord of the Rings movies, i had a HUGE crush on Viggo Mortensen. i actually still do kinda.
i guess Michael is the oldest one so far. i can believe he's 51? 52? he looks much younger like early 40's.
