You never thought you'd see the day... a Fancrazy thread geared towards you. Well, I've been wondering about this for awhile, and some of bobdoc's recent posts spurred me on. ("only 35% of the posts here are non-related to Michael's body ") Two questions: 1. What's it like to be a straight guy on a forum like this? Does the fan-girling make you roll your eyes, laugh, or just ignore it completely? Does it make you uncomfortable? It has to alienate you guys at least a bit. Which, part of the reason I keep coming back is the sense of community. You guys, however, may not feel as "right" here for the above reasons. Another reason I keep returning is that I'm pretty attracted to the guy. Assuming all of you are straight, that factor isn't there for you either. Maybe all of you appreciate Michael way more than us girls - in a pure sense, soley for his talent and character, un-distorted by any "OMG he's hot!" feelings. (And keep returning often for these reasons.) Just want your perspective. (By the way - if you think things are a bit much here, DO NOT go to the Henry Gale Lovers Community. Just sayin.') 2. Do all the estrogen-charged posts make you kind of take note on what all of us are finding so hot? Do you 'see' this attraction, or does it mystify you? ETA: Huh, passed the 500-post mark several posts ago.

I don't view a lot of the fangirly posts, as I mostly just visit the Lost sections, the fancrazy stuff, the links, and the games sections. I see some of the Bocke stuff and laugh a bit at how insane they get, and how it technically makes them write them out of character for the sake of romantic indulgences. So I'm in the roll my eyes/laugh catagory, as well as the catagory where I appreciate him for his work and his upstanding character as a person. But the girly stuff is a very small part of the content I visit around here, and isn't enough to effect my view on the place.
I see it- in fact, it is refreshing to see fangirls worship someone that isn't an ultra hot model/pretty boy actor that can't really act. At least they're worshipping someone who's an unconvential kind of handsome by the Pitt/Damon/Clooney/McConaughy standards- and since when did Matthew McConaughy become more of a sex symbol the more he makes bad movies? At least our fangirls go gaga over someone who deserves it- and come on, even I know how easy it is for girls to love those eyes of his, to name one part.

Ashi, why does anything we post to you or your blog have a double entendre to it?

Ashi, why does anything we post to you or your blog have a double entendre to it? I think My journal has an Invisible Line that everyone crosses who comes in contact with it. It makes you loose your inhibitions and say things that you normally wouldn't say, but that you're thinking...*smiles* Or it could be that I'm just a really bad naughty influence on everyone... Everything does have a double entendre at my journal, doesn't it? Another mystery for us to solve at the Hands of BenLinus/Henry Gale....hehe *winks*

Like a larger version of the Bocke thread? Don't even ask. Well - no. It's serious. NC-17 rated fiction of people's fantasies, for example. If Ashli's (private) blog is worse - not sure I want to know! Edith - yes, I'm a lurker. You could post some of my avatars/banners there if you want (and please do add them to the official photo gallery).

It's not that bad. *shyly looks away* I do write a lot of my own fics that I do not post at HGL though.
