I found this on the Internet (it was during S. 3 premiere): Heh, my mom was screaming for Michael Emerson to come sign our DVD as he was leaving the restroom, and then he took pics with everyone around us. I figured that by noticing their differences in choice of clothing, back then and the recent picture of them: Michael Emerson wearing suits and vests and Jimmy wearing t-shirts and a jacket. I was surprised they were friends! OMG, I love hearing these stories! Thank you all for posting them; I feel as though I've met him! I'm amazed at how nice and positive he is, I feel as though I'm about to cry. If you listen to Jimmy's podcasts with Michael, you'll notice how utterly relaxed Michael is. They are definitely friends. They both acted in numerous plays together when Michael lived in Florida. |

This story reminds me of a similiar story about Bill Clinton. Yeah, Clinton. I was with some friends at a victory party after he had won election in 1992. My freind said he had gone into the bathroom and there was the President-elect using the urinal beside him. LMAO!

I have plenty to smile about these days. This jacket being one reason. I just bought it on a shopping trip with my friend to Nordstrom Rack. (Sorry, no link). While we were walking in the Ward Shopping area, I saw this man walking toward us. The gears in my brain seem to be working extra slow as I realized first that I recognized him and second, he was Michael Emerson from the show LOST! I wish I could continue this story with antidotes of my brilliant and meaningful discussion with one of my favorite characters on one of my favorite shows, but alas, I am not always on my toes, ready for talking let alone discussions. I stared him in the eye as he stared back and by the smirk on his face as he walked by I think he realized that I knew who he was. But after that I just watched as he walked into the parking lot across from the theatre as my friend attempted to cajole me into getting a picture with him. It didn't work. I'm a genuine chicken when it comes to these sorts of encounters. This is the third person from LOST I've seen about town. I've never approached them, believing that my interruption would embarrass me and annoy them. Are you a brave fan, reader? I'd love to hear stories of your encounters. LOL im sooo behind   only just found this thread!! and my gosh its amazing! thanx to henryrocks for finding that awesome stuff for us to read. really gave me butterflies imagining how those people felt meeting and working with him. and i can so see where theyre comin from on the inspiration front, thats one of the reason i love Michael, because watching him onscreen and hearing him talk on interviews and wotnot just wakes sumthing in me that totally inspires me in EVERYTHING i do! its really hard to describe :s but i told him in my letter, i hope it made sense lol gah sorry this has kinda just come out of the blue coz ive only just found this thread |
