6 Degrees of Michael, eh? I think I can do it in about 2 or 3....
I attended a Lost party for the season finale hosted by radio hosts Preston and Steve, who have interviewed Michael twice on their show.

Doesn't one degree of separation mean that you know him personally?
How can I connect myself to Michael, hmm... I have a friend, whose dad is a producer - he's worked with Rutger Hauer, who's worked with Billy Dee Williams, who's been on LOST (and Michael's on LOST so that's close enough, eh? Or do they have to be in the same scene together for it to count?). So let's see, that's five degrees of separation? Not bad, I'd say.
On a separate note, I found out a while back that I'm two degrees away from John Wood(!!!!), not four degrees as I had initially settled on. Wow.

Never understood this concept of separation. It actually means nothing in the long run.

Hello I'm new! I got 4 degrees . My mom worked at a store in Michigan and worked with two of Sam Raimi's cousins. Sam Raimi directed "For Love of the Game" in which Michael appeared.

My friend's brother had a bit part in "Beverly Hills Cop," which starred Eddie Murphy, who was on Saturday Night Live at the same time as Billy Crystal (1984), who was in "The Princess Bride" with Cary Elwes, who was in "Saw" with Michael. I count six degrees. Wow, that is a REALLY remote brush with greatness!

I had a friend who was in a Law and Order ep (mothership version) so he probably worked with some one Michael worked with on either of his L&O:SVU or L&O:CI appearances.

I can go I direct connection . I knew him him and we both worked at the same community theatre in Jax...at different times, of course...He was an excellent stage actor and an all around good fellow. I've been lucky enough to see him perform live numerous times, sit in the same plays with him, and be at the same get togethers with him. No biggie really...we both new the same people in theatre so we bumped into each other. He's really a normal fellow. I lived in the same building as one of his play co-stars...see introductory post for that info...so he used to come round my flat to see the neighbor upstairs. We would say hi in passing. Finally when I started working in theatre, we'd always pass and say hi or have a brief exchange. I didn't know him on an intimate basis, but he was I knew him enough to tell him the trials and tribulations of volunteer theatre . He was a very nice fellow and a brilliant actor and as I said elsewhere, I am glad to see him break into the big leagues. He always had this intensity and charisma...and he was damnably determined to get it right. He would daily be at my neighbours flat on end until everything was down pat. I shan't say what model of car he drove then. I will say it was a ford..... . I just signed up here to pass my congrats on and I just find it...amazing he's become the sex symbol he has. Imagine what he looked like in the early 90s... All this really amazes me...he's still Mike to me...I'm happy he made it, but I can er...well be fan crazy I girl...perhaps because I did that when I was a teenager and I could actually see him and talk to him.... I'm just here to pass the praise to him along. I suppose I should write that HI address. I'm really proud of him and happy for him. He really deserves to be where he is at. He was a great person, hard working, and a brilliant actor. I think seeing him on stage is what started me in the whole theatre bit. He was just so...amazing...he was, in Jeremy Brett's words, a becomer...and he still is.
