I agree, it's so wrong. But I'm used to these awards shows never picking the person or show/movie I thought should have won. You'd think they could at least show a close-up of Michael and Carrie. Does anybody know where they're sitting? And what's with all the close-ups of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson every two seconds? What're they nominated for? (It's probably too much to hope LOST will win and Michael will be up on stage with the rest of the cast ... but I'm continuing to torture myself.) *pout* PS: Yeah, Melissa, let's hope the writers give him lots more opportunities to shine this season. PPS: Oh, there's Hanks. I guess you can predict who's going to win by how many close-ups they get!

Hanks is up for producer of "John Adams," the one show winning that I really liked. Emmys rarely pick the same shows, actors I like,so I'm not surprised. I just hope this doesn't signal a bad change in terms of ME's presence on "Lost."

I'm really really sad. He must get nominated and win next year. Terry lost one year but then eventually won, right? So Michael will too.

I want my three hours back. You and me both, except I'm owed even more than three hours. I also watched the two-hour red-carpet show on E! that I DVR'd. Nothin'. Just a couple of quick shots of Emilie de Ravin and Evangeline Lillie modelling their dresses in the background. Then I went back and scoured the actual Emmy broadcast for audience shots, and there was not one shot of Michael (or any other LOST cast member) except for that tiny 1/5 of the top of the screen during the two seconds it took to announce the winner. (It's so unfair because they kept showing certain other people over and over and over! I am so sick of Tom Hanks!) However, I think I spotted Carrie for a second or two. If that was her, they were sitting behind the "Two and a Half Men" folks (Charlie Sheen, Holland Taylor, and I think Jon Cryer was there too--of course, I wanted him to win and he didn't). So if anybody else recorded it and wants to double-check me, keep an eye out for Holland Taylor, and I think that's Carrie just behind and to the right of her. But so much for getting all dressed up! We didn't get to see what either one of them was wearing; I actually wanted to see Carrie's dress (after they showed the drawing of it on that jewelry-shopping expedition). Hope they're out having a good time at some after-party at least. Mythic Feline said: "I just hope this doesn't signal a bad change in terms of ME's presence on 'Lost.'" OMG, perish the thought! Well, since the show didn't win either, I hope they'll disregard all the awards and listen to us fans instead. (Michael was robbed!) The whole show seemed very disorganized this year--not just ignoring many of the nominees, but cutting certain things short (like acceptance speeches and clips of the nominees' work--both of which should have been the main focus of the show!) and letting other things drag on and on and on, like "best reality TV host." (And they let Don Rickles, Tommy Smothers, Steve Martin, and Ricky Gervais go on as long as they wanted to, yet when a couple of the winners were making their acceptance speeches, they went to commercial after only about 10 seconds!) Ugh. Clearly the whole thing is biased. I'd rather they gave time to the people they're supposed to be honoring with these awards and let the da*# show run overtime. Not that I usually remember to watch the Emmys; is it usually this bad? Have the Oscars spoiled me? (I've obviously moved into the anger stage of grieving now!) Can we at least hope for a Golden Globe? A People's Choice award maybe?

I agree with mythicfeline. Award shows don't like Lost. Lost is one of the best shows on tv, yet you never hear about it. It's such a....what's the word.....an oddball show? I hate award shows. I'm glad I didn't waste my time on it. I really wanted Michael to win.

This sucks. But being nominated is an honor in itself (as Michael keeps saying) and it means a lot of parties where he can meet people who can vote for him next year. Plus all that free stuff they get-bet Carrie had a blast with that. Being out in Hawaii the Lost cast is just not that well known. Michael is better known in the NY theater crowd. At least he is already "Emmy Award winning Michael Emerson".
One consolation: they were not making a fuss over the Heroes cast. What a difference a year makes.
I'm foretelling lots of nominations for the Golden Globes for Lost and a win for Michael there.

Yeah, for some reason "Lost" is a pariah show with the Academy (a k a Hollywood establishment) . Nevermind that it is so far the most downloaded show in the world, that doesn't cut inside LaLaLand. It's odd because it's ABC/Disney. I know that a serial show often doesn't get a lot of nods, but I also think that maybe there might be something that from the get-go it made its own way rather than take the approved route at H-wood High. The establishment likes the well-worn, middle-of-road, golly-gee approach.
H-wood hated Spielberg for going his own way, but in the end they have to acknowledge he does the work they pant over. He just wouldn't play patty-cake with them, and they aren't going to stop resenting him for that. Crazy place.

I believe they just uploaded this! He and Carrie look great! They only thing I have a problem with is that interviewers always ask Lost people the same questions. Like....how far ahead do u get the scripts? And they always ask him to do the same stare and stuff. It's not Lisa's or Joey's fault....they don't know anything about Lost to be able to ask intellectual questions. It all goes back to how Lost is a show that no one hears about or talks about. (except on the internet) At one point Lisa says "That's a dumb question, isn't it?" hahahaha www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMcWvKU1BwE&feature=user
